The San Antonio Army Recruiting Battalion was a primary partner with San Antonio Sports in staging the San Antonio All Star High School Football Game at the AlamoDome Saturday, Jan. 5. From meeting the players and parents on Dec. 29, until the end of the Gold team’s 33-29 victory, everybody was a winner!

U.S. Army Recruiting Command welcomed a new command team during a change of command and change of responsibility ceremony here July 23. Maj. Gen. Kevin Vereen became the 27th USAREC commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. John W. Foley accepted responsibility as the new senior enlisted leader of the command. The two follow Maj. Gen. As part of a Stripes for Skills test, 35 new North Dakota National Guard recruits took the Army Physical Fitness to work toward getting promoted from the rank of E-1 to E-2. On April 16, 2011, in Bismarck half of those eligible passed all portions of the testing which also included drill and ceremony and first aid, and were able to be promoted.
