Reception lighting was terrible for photography! Low light with lots of small colored spot lights...but the guests that were dancing were having a great time!
Coalition for Linking Mine Action and Development organized in partnership with BHMAC an high profile reception in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. The event gathered over 50 representatives from foreign embassies, Delegation of European Union, UNDP, NATO, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Defense, members of Parliament, Civil Defense, University of Sarajevo and landmine survivors.
It was used to present several Mine Action projects as well to promote Lend Your Leg campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Most of those present rolled up their pants and lent their legs for a free mine Bosnia and Herzegovina by 2019.

More than 300 attendees mingled prior to the dinner portion of the evening, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Washington Hilton.

US Consulate Toronto hosted the 3rd annual reception in celebration of US and Canadian Film Partnerships on September 14th, 2015 at The Spoke Club in Toronto. Held to create an opportunity for U.S. filmmakers and industry representatives to meet with their Canadian counterparts to discuss potential partnerships, this reception brought together the film industry leader and served as a platform for ideas exchange. In addition to the networking opportunities the reception provided between the U.S. and Canadian entertainment professionals, it served to honor the American Friends of TIFF, an independent U.S.-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the cultural, educational, and industry programming of TIFF, such as the Festival, major exhibitions, archives, and other activities of interest to American patrons.
Bruce Heyman, U.S. Ambassador to Canada, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Michael Couteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Lisa de Wilde, Chair of TIFF’s Board of Directors and CEO of TVOntario, Kristine Murphy, Director, Industry Development Group, Ontario Media Development Corporation, Piers Handling, TIFF’s Director and CEO, Michele Maheux, TIFF’s Executive Director & COO, Cameron Bailey, TIFF’s Artistic Director, and many other honorable guests were greeted by the U.S. Consulate Toronto’s new Consul General Juan A. Alsace and his wife Nancy. Renowned industry executives from North America's three largest screen-based production centers: NYC, Los Angeles, and Toronto as well as representatives from Amazon Studios, HBO, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Netflix, and Cineplex also attended the event.
Fifteen silent auction items were available to bid on during the general reception at TCA's Fourth Annual Wreaths Across America Gala.

Cliffe Castle is a wonderful place (the park it's set in is lovely too) if you have an hour or so spare and find yourself in or around Keighley. It's recently reopened after a refurb and very nice it all looked too. Sadly the tea room was shut today... stomped my feet a bit at that but all these treasures soon made me forget :)
