Never included shots of this with my summer lineup because it was actually a March/April 2020 project. Was recently thinking back on it and about what I want to do with it when I get the chance to build again. Decided I would share! Enjoy :)
I forget where this graveyard is located exactly, maybe near Portapique? Anyway, it was a beautiful and very interesting location. It looked like a forest grew over this graveyard in the last 100 or more years and was only recently cut, maybe by one of the members of the Durning family? The majority of the graves here are of the Durning family so I'll go with that...if anyone in the area knows please fill me in!
Taken in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Even though I live only 10 miles from Scotland, last weekend was the first time I'd ventured across the border since the Coronavirus restrictions were introduced in March of last year.
I managed to capture the amazing A1 Locomotive of 60163 Tornado hauling the Northern Belle railtour along the West Coast Main Line, which was an added bonus as originally this leg of the railway journey was supposed to be diesel hauled until Carlisle, then picked up by 6201 Princess Elizabeth locomotive. However, after this engine recently suffered a fault with it's boiler, Tornado has been replacing it on all excursions where possible and, since it is was nearby anyway, it was able to haul this leg of the journey from Glasgow too.
I hadn't photographed along this stretch of railway before so I wasn't sure of what the viewpoints would be like, but looking at the map I thought this section looked promising and luckily it was - providing a wonderful moody backdrop with Tewsgill Hill beyond.
DJZ_2486-Edit: I didn't want to get by the fence when taking this photo as the calves would run away from me. They aren't used to being around people yet.
Only recently have I started playing around with long exposure, believe it or not. I like the things you can accomplish with it :)
(taken not on the 17th of september, but a month or so back, this is also on the coast of cornwall.)

My image called "Water Art: A young couple walk hand in hand on a Brazilian beach" (www.flickr.com/photos/artsylens/5432055901/in/set-7215760...) has recently been purchased for use in a commercial for a UK high street brand.

Thank you all for your kind comments and warm congrats! Much appreciated.
The Northern Lights of The Aurora Borealis form amazing displays. As humans through identify threat and food we begin to see all sorts of things within all sorts of often none related things. Pareidolia is the term applied to our making sense of shapes and patterns that brings an acceptance of a structure in an image that many will be also able to see such as either a face for instance, or maybe here a Dragon? The Dragon was visible forming and flying on all through one area of The Northern Lights of The Aurora Borealis that were dancing and continually moving.
As for the title, âis it better either One, Number Two, or Three, maybe Four,â would it be of no surprise to mention that I have seen an Optician recently?

January 11 2016; New York JFK. Austrian recently announced that the "my Austrian" brand will be discontinued. Only a few aircraft have been painted as such.
Earlier this week I visited the National Zoo in Washington, DC; I had not been in several years. I strongly prefer photographing birds/animals in a natural setting, but I wanted to check out their recently opened "Bird House" and the zoo in general. The best I could tell, all of the birds in the Bird House were local species that a dedicated birder could see here in the area. I only saw a couple species I've not photographed elsewhere. Additionally, outside they have some larger exotic species not native to this area. I'll post a few shots in my Photostream and put the rest in a dedicated album for anyone wanting to see more of what to expect at the zoo.
For the record, the zoo appears to be very well managed and would be a delight for most. They get about 2-million visitors a year. You can read more about the Bird House here: nationalzoo.si.edu/news/bird-house-reopens-smithsonians-n...

walking down the street and I stumble across this wall which (I think) was recently painted. i couldn't agree more.
Recently made a short roadtrip to Des Moines. And while I had seen the Capitol from the highway I hadn't been inside. I knew it would be impressive but it's really a huge treat for the eyes. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area!
Taken on a sandbar in the Guyan (or Guyandotte) river near Barboursville. Look at all the chunks of coal. The river is full of it.
CN 8307 (formerly CN 5742), a rebuilt SD75iACC, leads train A425 westbound out of Melrose on the stretch between London and Sarnia for CN's main route through southwestern Ontario. The curve at Thorn Drive made for a nice shot, I haven't done this spot much.
