Character at Realm of Zephros

This is the floor inside beneath the temple complex. I made a mosaic of an Ancient Aztec god, but for me that wasn't good enough because I needed more cheese slopes. This is really pretty disappointing as I had high hopes for the mosaic and the idea was brilliant in my mind, but time ran out, and so did parts, so this was all I could do so far. I will try again though I think!

Any advice is welcome :) .

Irwin was an introvert of the castle age. He had no plastic bricks to build with, so one day he went for a woodland stroll. He left his humble village only to stumble upon a lost subterranean kingdom!

Realm of Zephros. An rp sim coming soon to SL.

Reuploaded this, felt that it was too heavily edited and the three subjects were too overwhelming hence i changed it to only one. Concept of this shot is that sometimes we have really negative feelings that surface and we allow a portal (hence frame) to open inside that allow our demons to come through. It's easy to get caught up with these feelings, though we should try to learn not to give in to them. Then again maybe it just applies to me :) instagram.com/yanweitan

does this chart i found make any sense. i thought it was worth sharing

“Faerie is a perilous land, and in it are pitfalls for the unwary and dungeons for the overbold...The realm of fairy-story is wide and deep and high and filled with many things: all manner of beasts and birds are found there; shoreless seas and stars uncounted; beauty that is an enchantment, and an ever-present peril; both joy and sorrow as sharp as swords. In that realm a man may, perhaps, count himself fortunate to have wandered, but its very richness and strangeness tie the tongue of a traveller who would report them. And while he is there it is dangerous for him to ask too many questions, lest the gates should be shut and the keys be lost.”

Keep up with me on Facebook!

It's All Saint's Day so me and my family spent the good day at the cemetery where our ancestors are. We had all sorts of food prepared and spent the day eating, lighting candles and incense sticks.

I'm totally drained so I'm breaking my sleep record and go hit the sack at 10.30pm!!

May your November be full of blessings.

Well, I have a lot to say about this one. It's actually almost still a WIP! Inside beneath the temple complex we have a mosaic of an Ancient Aztec god, but for me that wasn't good enough because I needed more cheese slopes. And need I mention the four footed base I had to put this on? It almost collapsed! I have another photo for the judges if they want to see this without the background edited in. I would have taken a different photo but I ran out of time.

There were ways to have done the four stud limit so well! I know I missed them, so far. I'll just have to grin and bear it!

Hope you enjoy the temple tho! This was built for Style it up! It had to support itself on just four studs. I still have a few things to work out on the temple and details to arrange, but for now it's worth noting that the top also has interior details visible through the doors, although they are in the shadows. More photos of that and the rest to come! Any advice is welcome :) .

we fall in quiet pieces.

little by little, forgotten in the glass realms

where everything, and anything,

and something, and nothing

look the same, feel the same.

trapped in the crevice,

the monolithic silence that weeps

pulling on ears, dreaming in tears.

wiping people like a sick disease.

quietly taking people under

the deep black waters

of something hidden underneath.

quiet. do you hear?

A laugh. A cry. the cynics wails

in the flood of his disgrace.

fallen, then people dance.

the optimists smile and laugh again.

and the cycle continues,

till one by one, they are all consumed.

the infinite realm is a scary place.

I shine the torch of truth

only to have it shone back at me

the intense white

sped through the many prisms

that sting my sight. I cannot see.

and we are in

a dancing limbo. no songs.

no music. only the eerie silence.

This is a view of Kanawha Falls from atop the rocks at the far right side of the river, out of view of the park at the base of the falls. An island is juxtaposed between the park and this section of the falls. Also, the entire section of the falls shown here is shaped like a giant horseshoe with the nadir of the curve behind the falls that can be seen from the park. What a spectacular place. In order to view this, my son and I had to take our canoe across the river, and climb on the rocks.

I used to put borders on my pictures, but not anymore :)

Hope you like it !

What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment.

and it is at this moment you create the present and the future that will be the past to someone else

A mature wapiti bull emerges from the pines and announces his presence to all in his realm.

I captured this image in the dim light well before sunrise. It was shot at high ISO (6400) and underexposed by about one and a third stops. I applied Lightrooms noise reduction technology at 30% and was surprised and pleased with the results. It is by no means perfect, but it went from a grainy mess to a usable image that I really like. There seems to be a lot of hesitation from folks to push their ISO, but with today's cameras and noise reduction software, so many new opportunities for images can be explored.
