whenever you don't address something and push it to the side, you're hardening your heart. eventually, you're either going to push it so far out of your mind that it never bothers you again and you just become numb to what's going on... or you're going to come to a place of deep awakening.
maybe you're numbing yourself out of fear. out of the fear of what you're going to have to face if you came to the cold, hard truth.
in some cases, you don't even see what's going on as a problem anymore. you don't realize that what you're doing and how you're acting is wrong and harmful to both yourself and others.
coming to the realization of something that you've been hiding for so long can be devastating, but when you have a God that's big enough to take that heart and shape it out of love... there is nothing to worry about. it's like falling face down in shame and having a person pick you up and telling you that you're going to be okay and not just leaving it at that, but telling you how to be okay. telling you the secret to life and happiness.
God wants you at that place, the place where you are absolutely desperate for Him. we need Him to soften our hearts, so they don't grow cold. we need Him in every step and every decision we make.
so stop being afraid of what's to come and let Him deal with it. stop clenching your heart and let go. you don't have control.

The Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens are open to all that seek to come here to relax their mind, body, and spirit. Walking the grounds here is so tranquil, you can look out over the open waters of the mighty Pacific Ocean or you can find a spot nested in the gardens that gives you shade and floral fragrance as you rest your mind.
If we know the goal of life and what is real happiness then we can stay happy for whole life. If we get this knowledge of the Soul at an early age, it can help to solve our relationship or worldly problems and makes us experience real happiness for long time.

The realization that the summer is over and school is beginning hit me today.
The first of the interns will be leaving on Sunday.
As a child, a ten minute trip into a store seemed an eternity...now the time slips by when I blink my eyes.
Time just slips by...

there is that point in time in many moments when one realizes that they are in the middle of some momentous change. often we do not know that change has begun, when it has begun. it comes to sweep us as we are being swept. and you know it then, but only then. something is different, but it already has been for awhile, but you only just felt it. like an earthquake aftershock, except you had blacked out the actual earthquake. the world is shifted already, but it shifts more. you never know where you're actually standing, because where you thought you were standing was in fact somewhere nineteen inches to the right. for me, those are moments like running through golden gate park and having it quiet abruptly as the halfers split. the realization that this is the long haul, but it always was, and yet it only just became. or in december when i saw a face and realized something was still there. lurking. it had been tugging the whole time, but swelled into a riptide. or when you started crying when you said that you wanted to become a teacher. you always had, but then suddenly there was shaking. or when i woke up one day in the middle of a rainforest in australia, having already arrived long before, but suddenly arriving for the first time. my mind catching up to my body. and now every time i see rainforest (like this one), i have to remind myself that an earthquake already happened and what i'm feeling is just aftershock. but nothing is ever just aftershock. aftershock destroys too. people are just starting to get back on their feet and then gravity somersaults all over again. there is a false calmness that comes after the first earthquake. but aftershocks cause quake, as well. perhaps not in the earth. perhaps it's just always in ourselves. like a CD skipping a track and out of nowhere, a sound you didn't expect.
all of those times it hit me then that it was there -- there it was -- and it wasn’t going anywhere, but rather, everywhere.
When the clouds of the Earth break those of the Heavens are revealed, along with one of the most human emotions: wonder. There was a time when I wanted to know, to analyze, to get to the bottom of everything, but I realized this was an empty road. I already had all I needed to marvel at the beauty of nature and found more value in accepting it as incomprehensible (in the absolute respect), loving it for its beauty and wonder, and using it as a canvas to ponder and imagine, than being able to sum it up in a system of equations. Sometimes (most of the time) its best to just sit back and soak it in.
