I took this photo during the "golden hours" of the day. The picture is lit by backlight, the sun behind the buildings, creating a silhouette of the nearby buildings. There are a lot of geometric shapes made by the skyline. There is great contrast, which makes the colors in the sky stand out more. The 'message' of this picture is how the sun lights everything up, making you realize what a big role it plays in everything. That is why I named the picture "Awakening of Realization", it wakes you up by letting you realize. The clouds work as leading lines of direction to the sun, bringing the viewers eye to the light.

The Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens are open to all that seek to come here to relax their mind, body, and spirit. Walking the grounds here is so tranquil, you can look out over the open waters of the mighty Pacific Ocean or you can find a spot nested in the gardens that gives you shade and floral fragrance as you rest your mind.
the realization of the solid states of motion within souls is what makes us humans..
it is what makes that moment in a rapid strong motional hold a lifetime in a single still second with tenderness that exceeds all surroundings.

I've been blessed to have known of Paramahansa Yogananda's peaceful teachings of love for 30 years.
The firehouse was converted to photo studios and offices on the first and second floors, with a single-family duplex above. Then, in 1995, it was converted as the New York City Center of the Self Realization Fellowship, a religious movement founded by Paramahansa Yogananda, the author of Autobiography of a Yogi.

2010 has brought a lot for me. break ups, realizations and a lot more happiness.
two of my three very different best friends have flickrs and one of them has a tumblr.
they are making my life so happy and joy filled right now.
a lot has happened, a lot more than i can even explain but I've learned a lot. that life moves on, that people change, that love can disappear and turn to hate, that best friends can change but they can love with all their heart!
