I have ridden past this tree for years. After many years of decay it has finally fallen.

This was really a mixed bag for me. It was my first time shooting Rollei Retro 80S, my first time using a Paterson tank and my first time using Caffenol-L. These were pretty long exposures, I wonder if this film just needed more light? I shot it at ISO 20 with my RSS 6x6F.
I just love that low slung winter sunlight, and the slow reflection on the water with majestic beech trees standing like sentinels.

Neg scan
This one scanned better - I think I have a fairly successful workflow now - by taping the neg to the scanner glass, scanning "backwards" ie curve up, and then flipping the image, I have a fairly clean scan. Certainly better than the film holder.

Neg scan from a realitysosubtle 617 pinhole.
I had quite a bit of fun (!) scanning these negs. First scans had marks top and bottom. After some investigation, it turned out to be the scanner - the film was slightly curved and it was light fall off causing it. I then used a second plate of glass on top to get the neg flat and make the scan above. Unfortunately there is a mark on the glass - that is not on the neg. Anyway, I'm loving the camera, its a joy to use and very well thought out. I'd highly recommend it.

Today I did a pinhole test by fitting a 0.5mm James Guerin pinhole into a lensboard for the Deardorff, and shot an 8X10 sheet of old Tri-X a friend donated to the cause. Focal length (determined by bellows extension was approximately 6", making this an f307 "lens". The exposure was 6.5 minutes under heavy overcast conditions. The Tri-X was developed in Rodinal 1:25
