My latest microadventure lead me to Val Gardena in south tyrol.

I need to say it to the beginning it wasn´t easy, it was cold, and the climb was tougher than I excpeted. Maybe because of the 27kg backpack including my tent, sleeping bag,

camping stove, etc. but words cannot describe how worth all the struggle was.

It was a breathtaking experience to stay overnight under the cloudless nightsky full of stars and to see my old friend the milkyway or as the funny south tyroler policeman said "strada del la latte" ;-)

Personally, I think this kind of trips are the best way to escape the monotony of everyday life, taking a deep breath, enjoying the silence and forget everything else that’s all I need for.

This pano is made of 9 single shots

and I´m hoping it gives you the same feeling as I had when I stood there

and admire the beautiful landscape. This time my friend Fabio Hain Naturfotografie did a great job modeling for me. Thank you a lot, your presence gives the pano just

the look that I wanted. The light on the horizon is the beginning astronomic twilight, so it was my last chance to take the shot before

the sky is too bright. Normally I avoid to have this twilight on my pictures but in this case I have to say I really like it, I think it looks special `cause for this shot it has

the perfect position directly under the milkyway bow. At the end, before some critical voices say it has to be fake and manipulated. I have to disappoint you, this picture reflects just the reality.

Mother earth is just that beautiful, she don´t needs any corrections.

hope you like it, thanks for watching.

feel free to share, comment or like :)

+++ MIKROABENTEUER Van Gardena +++

The growing sense of the ineffable that reaches and curves toward the light of an ultimate reality can never be transplanted into the shallowness of mere reflection. Torn out of its medium, it is usually metamorphosed like a rose pressed between the pages of a book. When reduced to terms and definitions, it is little more than a desiccated remnant of a once living reality.

back to reality... the here and now!!!

i am standing in muddy waters in the middle of my street after yesterday's daytime downpour of our rainy season. most rainfalls happen during the night, so I could not show you how each north-south running street in Ajijic becomes a river running down from the mountains into the lake.

no, we are not flooded here, this is totally normal, it’s how our lake refills itself every year after the 9 month dry spell and why our curbs are so high in this village -

and it only takes like half an hour until one can cross these streets again...... unless you have rubber booties like me (((:

but yes, there were times when leaving a restaurant after some elegant evening dining, we had to step right into this muddy water.... with our elegant sandals and shoes, to walk home or get our cars! (((: (a true story!!)

Mumbai has seen a surge in wall art and murals, with local art schools transforming the city into their canvas. Creativity takes flight as facades burst into a plethora of vibrant hues. The wall seen here belongs to an old, dilapidated fish warehouse at Sassoon Dock— and what a stunning makeover it is !

In this photo, does the railing of the staircase appear perfectly straight, or does it deform into an undulation, like a wave, as soon as you look at it? Is what we perceive, as individuals, objective reality, or just a subjective interpretation of it? Between different people, do we share the same vision of the world around us, or are our perceptions shaped by our unique experiences? In short, aren't there as many realities as there are individuals? Couldn't we say that the world is, in the final analysis, only what we choose to see in it?

This is how we walk down the street. Ben goes in leaps and bounds, while I prefer the slow and steady hop.

Here's the deal. I am taking six busy courses this semester and I have only two spare neurons to rub together. I'd love to use them for a picture everyday, but alas I cook dinner instead.

We will be here every Saturday though!

I really don't understand how such a beautiful spot came to be named "Devil's Punchbowl". There does not seem to be anything particularly evil, malicious or even all that dangerous about this location. If anything it is a picturesque gem of a swimming hole. I had never done the "hike" (more of a walk) out to this spot before but as with any return trip I try to mix in at least one new destination. And while the temperature of the water dissuaded following up any notions of jumping in, the color of said water was enough to persuade us to sit here and linger awhile.

Explore June 22/08 ..Bald Eagle (View Large) Carrying a gull back to nest to feed two very active immature eagles. Note feathers of seagull on its beak. They are doing a lot of wing flapping getting ready to start branch hopping, before they fledge or leave the tree. Eagles will bring back a variety of food ranging from fish, gulls, cats and small dogs and more! The eagle was exhausted when it got to the nest and stood there gasping for breath with its tongue hanging out. The gull was probably caught over the ocean and brought inland to its nest. Cloudy sky gives the clear background. IMG_2172

Someone created driftwood directional markers at the foot path to the lighthouse that read Welcome to Serenity and Reality 5 miles. Leave Serenity behind while the tides are low or that 5 miles back to reality will be a harsh reality.

If you could go back and change just one thing about your life, would you? and if you did, would that change make your life better? Or would that change ultimately break your heart? or break the heart of another? would you choose an entirely different path? or would you change just one thing? just one moment. one moment that you always wanted back..

~One Tree Hill

Found this big heart painted on a bridge. Surely it's a sign of love to someone.

People have their dreams, maybe of love or other beautiful things. They paint them on the walls or on the ground. But often these dreams are a contrast to the reality and they will not fulfill if we are just standing and waiting that it happens.

If people stand back to back like here love will remain a dream.
