Con la nuova piattaforma Beta il Team di Flickr ha intenzione di apportare delle ulteriori modifiche che limiteranno pesantemente gli interscambi tra users:
1 - Non ci sarà più uno spazio bianco sotto le foto per le descizioni, commenti o inviti ai gruppi
2 - Difficile scrivere un commento che contenga più di 3 parole
3 - Non possiamo vedere chi favorisce le nostre foto
4 - Non possiamo vedere in quali gruppi appare la foto
5 - Le immagini degli award non saranno visibili
6 - Gli inviti non saranno più visibili. Gli ultimi appariranno solo in Attività Recente, gli altri andranno perduti.
7 - Per gli Admin diventerà impossibile gestire i gruppi per cui molti chiuderanno.
8 - Le nostre descrizioni, incluse citazioni, link a YouTube o altri siti saranno nascoste
IMPOSSIBILE QUALUNQUE INTERSCAMBIO, NESSUNA VISIBILITA' !!!

In the spirit of how it all started...or the way it used to be...or something...
I remember when Flickr was all there was to share images online (at least as far as I knew). I may have started out thinking "art" but as I moved through the learning process of making photos, and as I found myself around community, I started sharing images of actual life. I guess it was like what people kind of do on Instagram now...maybe...sort of? Anyway, interspersed with pinholes, Holgas, weird double exposure instant photos, there would be photos of dinner, or a holiday with the family, or a vacation hotel room...or late at night in bed unable to sleep perhaps. In many ways it was all the same...the art and other stuff (because I'll be honest, I would often pick out the best images, or perhaps do some adjustments so it was on par quality wise...or so I thought). And while that's been standard part of my photo sharing m.o., there have been times when I've done it much less.
Anyway, it's 6 pm-ish and I'm already in my pjs. I spent the better part of the day playing catch up with all the leaves in my yards. I got it almost all done....just a patch out back I left until tomorrow because it was getting dark. The shower I just took was about as hot as I could stand and I'm relaxing here with a heating pad on my back. I have some art journal play/experiment I intend to do, maybe watch something to keep me company, and that will be my evening.
Tomorrow is another day, with more to do, and it's strange times but I'm doing okay.
Any minute now, my ship is coming in
I'll keep checking the horizon
I'll stand on the bow, feel the waves come crashing

I met Michael when I was looking for another homeless guy, called John, who I document on a regular basis. Michael had taken John's turf so I asked him where John was and he told me he didn't know John. I didn't believe him.
So I sat and spoke to him for a while and he told me he had been kicked out of the house by his family and was living on the streets for a while. He pointed out that this wasn't his usual predicament and I did believe that as his clothes are all clean and reasonably new.
He had obviously been slashed in the past and the scar remains visible from his left eye to his left ear.
I asked if I could take his picture and he agreed as long as I could help him out a bit as he was starving. So I took a few shots and dropped him 20 bucks and he chummed me down the lane and went off to get some food.
