my friend Adrienne has been long-suffering in library school, keeping herself busy with extra-curricular projects. introducing, the guy-brarian, seen here in an action-packed pose, reading some William Gibson.
Heavily based on the NYTBR's recent list of best American novels of the last 25 years. I raided Chapel Hill's finest used book establishments, with moderate success. The bottom three I bought new. Europe Central was just released in paperback and I sure as hell couldn't afford the hardcover. The other two were all "we're on saaaaaaaaaaaaaale don't you want to buy ussss?" and I was all, "um, yes."
My son had been after me for quite awhile to take his photo next to this art piece downtown. 9/19 was the day it took place.
He chose the book, I setup the angle. Coyote is reading a candy wrapper, says the plaque.
Participants were treated to prizes, refreshments and a movie at the Taunus Theater during the Wiesbaden Library's Summer Reading Program Grand Finale on Aug. 17, 2019.

Project Description: Explorations of a reading space. Reading Space is a project in typographic resonance, where students carefully consider how the combination of word, form, and context
can amplify, shift, or redirect meaning. The four conceptually driven elements
of space: point, line, plane, and volume will be prominent considerations in the
conveyance of meaning. Continued consideration of issues surrounding legibility
and readability will be applied to three-dimensional space.

It got quiet one morning while I was helping get the kids ready for the day, and as it turns out Margaret wasn't up to anything devious after all!
