The Ambassador saw the full range of products, from reactive armor, to purpose built vehicles, to body armor. Plasan has delivered more than 8,000 armor kits to U.S units on active duty.
Israel is a world leader in armor technology and the Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the dedication to quality expressed at Plasan.
Nestled in the forested hills of northern Israel, Kibbutz Sasa does more than just forge armor, they also forge connections. Their unique theater program called Bereshit l'Shalom brings young people together from all sectors of Israeli society. Jews, Arabs, Druze, or Circassian, all use the art of theater and dance to express the importance of working across society's boundaries to interact with others based on similarities, not differences. This successful program has performed throughout Israel and Europe.
I was taken by this group of dog walkers, all in their hi-viz vests with "reactive dogs". In my experience most dogs are reactive in some way or another! I suppose it means they're not ones to approach.

I just recently heard about the Elegant Writer calligraphy pens being water reactive and it's something new I wanted to try forSimon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge: Take a Leap into the Unknown.
Also created for the Hero Arts Fabulous Flowers challenge.
Created this Artist Trading Card (ATC) by inking Hero Arts H5484 Jewel Daisy with a black Elegant Writer calligraphy pen. Then I stamped it onto 90# cold pressed watercolor paper.
The Elegant Writer pen is water-reactive, so I painted with water around the edges of the daisy to create a shadow. Added yellow watercolor to the center. All of the other colors are a result of the reactive Elegant Writer ink.
I love the soft, delicate, artistic quality of the resulting flower!

A voice-reactive audio-visual laser-blastin' phone booth experience. Excellent Adventure honors the phone booth as a metropolitan icon, and explores its potential as a sensory experience askew from our expectations of its form. The two booths of Excellent Adventure use focused beams of visible light to transmit voice data from one to the other, and inbuilt dynamic lighting to pulse and fade through the spectrum in response to the tone and volume of the call being received. In this way the booths quite literally "color" conversation, divorcing the experience of telephonics from awkward, one-dimensional expectations. Interactions with Excellent Adventure remind participants that the spectacle and miracle of the metropolis is squarely rooted in our ability to connect with each other.
The FV432 is the armoured personnel carrier (APC) variant of the British Army's FV430 series of armoured fighting vehicles. Since its introduction in the 1960s it has been the most common variant, being used for transporting infantry on the battlefield. In the 1980s, almost 2,500 vehicles were in use. Although it was to have been phased out of service in favour of newer vehicles such as the Warrior and the CVR(T) series, some have been upgraded to the Bulldog standard and deployed in Iraq.
It is an all-steel construction vehicle with the engine at the front and the driving position to the right. Directly behind the driver position is the vehicle commander's hatch. There is a large split-hatch round opening in the passenger compartment roof (visible above between the two cross rails) and a side-hinged door in the rear for loading and unloading. In common with such an old design there are no firing ports for the troops carried - British Army doctrine has always been to dismount from vehicles to fight. Wading screens were fitted as standard, and the original vehicles had a water speed of about 6 km/h when converted for swimming.
The Bulldogs being employed in Iraq have air-conditioning, enhanced reactive armour and IED jammers; they are probably nowhere near capable of being amphibious. This particular model is seen outside the Land Warfare Hall of the Imperial War Museum's RAF Duxford site in Cambridgeshire. Aim: To study the correlation of vascular endothelial health with family risk of metabolic disorders, in healthy overweight, obese and non obese subjects.
Study Design: A case-control (pilot) study.
Place and Duration of Study: The study was conducted in Cardiovascular Physiology lab, Department of Physiology, K.G.M.U .
Methods: Cases and controls comprised from January 2009 to February 2010. of 30 overweight / obese healthy subjects (BMI >= 25 kg/m2 and/or WHR (female>0.85; male>1) and 30 non-obese healthy subjects respectively (BMI< 25 kg/m2 and/or WHR (female<0.85; male<1) excluding subjects with secondary cause of abnormal blood flow. Vascular endothelial health was assessed via reactive hyperemic response measured via impedance plethysmography in the subject’s forearm. Fasting plasma glucose and serum lipid profile was also done.
Results: On comparison of biochemical variables, lipid derangement was recorded in both the groups. Significant difference in VLDL (control 21.84±9.68, case 29.01±16.83) (p=0.048) and TG (control 101.22±-43.33; case145.21±84.02) (p=0.013), could be seen. VLDL & TG was deranged in 15 (6 cases + 9 controls) (P=0.371) and 14 (5 cases + 9 controls) (P=0.222) subjects respectively with no inter-group significant statistical difference. Inter-group reactive hyperemia at 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 min post occlusion time showed no significant difference. Peak hyperemic response was seen at 2 minutes in both the groups. Though independent family history in first degree relatives of diabetes, coronary artery disease and/or hypertension showed a significant association with % RH at 2 min. (P=0.049), yet in group wise exploration, no significant association was seen.
Conclusion: Adverse anthropometry is universally not associated with deranged lipid profile and vice versa. Raised RH response associated with positive family risk could be either due to hyperinsulinemia and/or some yet undeciphered cause but not solely as add-on sequelae of deranged anthropometry (BMI & WHR). In the light of our findings, we conclude that what seems as a favourable response i.e. a raised hyperemic response in subjects with a positive family history of risk factors, may be last ditch escape response before the vascular system succumbs to the inflammatory insult. Some yet undeciphered causes could thus be suspected of an adverse outcome and thus accordingly timely modified by lifestyle modifications or pharmacological interventions.
