Jacamars are reacted to puffbirds and more distantly to barbet and toucans. www.nrm.se/download/18.4e32c81078a8d9249800021325/Johanss...

From Wiki: The jacamars are a family, Galbulidae, of near passerine birds from tropical South and Central America, extending up to Mexico. The family contains five genera and 18 species. They are closely related to the puffbirds, another Neotropical family, and the two families are often separated into their own order, Galbuliformes, separate from the Piciformes. They are principally birds of low-altitude woodlands and forests, and particularly of forest edge and canopy.

Jacamars are insectivores. They spend most of the day perched (inactive) waiting for flying-by insects or butterflies to snatch in mid air and return to the same spot.

Hard to react quick enough to such an attack. The bird is driven off the branch.

Tree Swallows

I have no idea what happened to cause such a scene but they sure are cute!

From what I gather so far, this seems like the typical swallow scene: there's always one screaming at another, one reacting to the scream and there's always at least one that looks indifferent to the happenings. They're so entertaining!

It's always fascinating how all react differently to snow.

Some hate it and get surprised by the fact it´s snowing every winter, others embrace it with joy.

Despite the relatively sunny day snow still lingered on some branches because the temperature remained low as the sun dropped lower in the sky.

I hear that women only want the “tattooed bad boys” Listen up we are waiting and waiting for you to react.

It doesn't matter if you want or are a bad boy. It matters if you know “how” to be while being a good guy.

Sometimes you have to take a woman who wants to be taken by the hair and push her back to the wall and take her in a fit of heated passion.

You cover her flesh with your ravenousness kisses until you feel her squirming. Then you continue to turn up the heat by denying her what she wants most. You let your dominant animistic masculine actions devour, leaving her breathless.

You don't leave her until she is wanting more. We want you to react.

It lept straight up, barrel rolled and flew off. It returned a few minutes later.

Thanks for comments/faves/invites :)

This girl was clicked Spellbound at a Puppet Show recently at the Haryana Heritage Festival at Yadvindra Gardens Pinjore, Haryana North India.

I had to wait 10 minutes with my camera focused on her to catch this expression; she was oblivious.

The Puppeteer suddenly sling-ed the Snake Puppet out of the booth on which she reacted and CLICK!

Please excuse the size, I lost the original photo :(

Suggestions/Critics Invited

I've always loved the beginning BW segment of the Wizard of Oz film. In particular the scenes where Dorothy meets Professor Marvel just before the storm brews up. The sepia tones, the dusty landscape, the dark clouds, the shadows, it's all part of classic visual storytelling. It sets the mood and atmosphere before even a word of dialog is spoken. I think, like most of us, scenes from that film are hard wired into my mind because we first viewed it at such a young age, and probably multiple times. All these years later, I still react to environments that remind me of the film. I'm insipred to attempt to recreate them photographically.

"I want to go back again"

That's how I reacted a year ago to a photo I saw on social media of Iceland (I've also been there in 2014, but then in the summer). Shortly afterwards I received a message from someone on social media : When are we going? We had never met before, we only had contact on social media. I know someone who would like to come along, said Frank. No sooner said than done: Colin was added to the group. At the beginning of 2022 we have booked for 10 days: The south side of Iceland, from West to East and back again, in a 4x4. We met every month for the rest of the year to make some kind of planning for the trip. This often resulted in a pleasant evening with dozens of ideas and we actually had to go to Iceland for at least 10 weeks. The route was finally determined and recorded.

Once in Iceland: It felt really good. Humor, talkative, flexible and not too difficult. All 3 have the same passion: Landscape photography. Sometimes the whole day was turned around because we got stuck in some places... Had a very nice time, new friendships and who knows... The Northern side of Iceland is also very beautiful, it is said.

All the neighbourhood monsters were excited to try Fluffy's yummy new Chocolate Log. The Chocolate Log wasn't excited.

MATURITY DOESN'T MEAN AGE. IT MEANS SENSITIVITY, MANNERS AND HOW YOU REACT.

Every once in a while, an enemy would dare raise his head to check on the situation. As soon as it happened, Wolfe’s Trydent Carbon-Nanotube suit would react, just as it had been programmed. Contract the bicep section, calculate distance, change angle. Fire. Wolfe was just there for support and the occasional soldier override.

The Mann were incredibly advanced compared to the United Sectorial Confederation. Their Beute Korps were far greater than the Protectorate. The Korps used three types of rifles: Core, which slung molten cobalt at the enemy, Focus, which used focused super-heated plasma, and Beam, which was your standard laser-type weapon. Wolfe was currently wielding a Core rifle, a very lethal weapon in the hands of a Mann soldier.

After incapacitating the soldier, the CO ordered Wolfe’s squadron to head south to flank the enemy. They would be performing a pincer maneuver to counteract the incoming assault. The suit relayed the information to the computer and processed it. The artificial leg muscles contracted and relaxed, creating movement. With the rest of his squad, Wolfe moved south. About halfway towards the target, an orbital strike was called in once the orbiting USC craft reached periapsis. The strike impacted near the second squadron and cut comms with them and the CO. The soldiers of Wolfe’s squadron activated override mode and controlled the suit using their own will. All of their actions would be amplified, but it would now have to be their actions.

The eye of the storm is not so much what goes on in the world, it is the confusion of how to think, feel, digest, and react to what goes on.
