Is it an impossible lesson to learn? War only achieves violence, hate, pain, death, loss, mass destruction, lack of health and welfare provision, destruction of our ecosystem, climate and environment disruption, large scale famine and total lack of social order. Is this really what we want for our children? Would it not be better to reach out and find mutual solutions as difficult as that is, surely it is the better way to go!!! We all belong to humanity and share the same desire for peace, we can and must come together and work together not against one another. We are stronger together and when we look out for each other our lives are better and we are happier! Come on my Flickr friends, let's promote peace it is the only way to live!

In all sincerity, I cannot understand why we refuse to change the gun laws in the USA. Just compare the USA to other countries how many children are killed by guns in their schools by their citizens? Should we not pass that law first before trying a 14-year-old as an adult? Something is wrong here! Gun laws have to be made for people to understand that one cannot just kill anyone for any reason! And families must bring up their children to believe in love and understanding. We need more tolerance, less hate, and to be able to discuss things civilly to find mutual solutions! I just cannot understand with the huge number of parents in this country how it is not possible to pass a sensible law to protect our PRECIOUS children. Most parents would do anything for their children, so why do they refuse to insist upon reasonable gun laws?

Can't let our government cut all the trees for economic reasons any longer.
So I'm currently growing pine trees from the seeds of pine cones.
After one week I already have a bunch of them growing.

If you want some of them yourself, to plant in your garden or elsewhere, or to grow a bonsai, just CONTACT ME!
I'll feed and grow them until they are stable in a small pot and we'll connect to hand over the tree. Then you can share some photos by yourself caring for it.

Have we completely lost our way? All I see and read is hate, confrontation, war, violence, and total misunderstanding!
Don't we teach our children and grandchildren about love, caring, respect, responsibility, understanding, having the ability to reach mutual, peaceful, and reasonable solutions for everyone? It is time to stop the hate, selfishness, greed, and glee in promoting discord. And the political blame game is making things worse! It is time for the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches of government to work together to make this country better, a place for us all to be proud of. Stop the bickering, and avoiding your responsibilities, and start the real work of looking for positive solutions for all.
Love is the only way for us to live and survive!!! And when we all realize this we will be in a much better place. At the rate we are going, we won't be here much longer!
Wake up everyone, we all belong to the human family and we should all be looking out for ALL of us and teaching our children and grandchildren to do so as well.
I am sorry my Flickr friends but I find it incredible that it is almost impossible to read or listen about positive happenings and even if one might believe they are not happening, they are we just have to focus on the positive.
I sincerely hope and pray for change for the better and SOON!

A well known piece of artwork in Portishead which I shot during the golden hour. There is a lot of post production editing.
We need the President of the U.S.A. to unite all Americans not divide them, also one who will work together with our allies in order to bring us together with countries throughout the world to find positive solutions. We need to learn tolerance, understanding, love, respect and a way to create positive dialogue between all races, genders and non-violent religions. Hate only divides, love is the only answer. Through love, we can learn to collaborate and find democratic and mutual solutions to our disagreements. We don't always agree but can spend time to find ways to work things out. We can start at home, continue into our communities, other countries and globally. We need to include everyone, no-one deserves not to have a home, education, food on the table and good health. If we all try we can find solutions to this tremendous problem and stop the greed and selfishness. Life is always more fun working together, nothing much is achieved alone. Let's get together and insist that our government works for all of us. There is room for everyone in this world, especially when hate, privilege, and power are eliminated.
Today I have decided to once again share my daughter, Karen Lewis's poem, which she wrote for my painting Coming Together, her words make even more sense today:
COMING TOGETHER
Asian, Latin, European, African,
Native, Indigenous, Foreign, Alien,
Descriptions that fall short,
vague splotches on the canvas of life.
All have but one heart that beats,
blood is but one color.
Flesh and Features, each unique
Organs and muscles, identical.
Each face a work of art
Each mark distinctively it's own.
The beauty of our differences
far surpasses mere mortal comprehension.
Each unmatched culture,
it's own vibrant combination of colors and sounds,
the pulsing of a nation, a people.
These different beats unite,
to make the music of our world.
As each exceptional voice blends with the other,
the harmony of humanity rises
high above the dark clouds of oppression and ignorance.
North, South, East, West,
a baby's cry is but the same.
The pang of hunger and indifference
changes not with skin color.
