This is a space I've visited off and on for over 3 decades, usually in the wee hours and in the company of fuddled, grogged, or glazed friends. The essence of the space, the denizens, and the food remains unchanged, locked in a blurry happy dream

in a childhood, i was afraid of here and was not able to walk.

Recollections of domestic life. Sunday afternoon by the lake, 1895. The horsenet hammock, the gentleman's tie, vest, and cap, and the woman's dress and hat represent the style of the period.

Last November 26, 2016 the Junior High School students had their recollection activity. The purpose of a recollection activity is to refresh and revitalize the mind and soul of the students for them to be once again in tune and further deepen with their relationship with God. This is achieved through relatable lectures and thought provoking activities that help the students reflect and contemplate on how they are making and breaking the teachings of Jesus in their lives and how they can bring that love back to their families. The activity ends with a confession and a thanks giving mass.

In every shadow and breath there is a particle of memory. The cosmos returning to the simplicity of things and light.

One hundred three years ago, (June 27, 1905) one of the best people to ever walk this earth was born. I am immensly grateful to my second born (arizona nightowl) for sending me the scan of this photo, taken in 1985. It is her first born child, my first born grandchild, and his first born great grandchild that my Dad is holding here.

Daddy adored children... and everyone that knew him, loved and respected him... he was that kind of man! Happy Birthday doesn't really count any more, but I am just so glad that he was born... and that he chose (they adopted) me to be his only child. What an honor it was to have him for my Father!!!

“Portobello ReCollection” is a six month arts project in Notting Hill launching this Autumn 2010. We begin with transforming the 100 metre long Portobello North Wall on the Portobello Road into “Wall of Sound”, a giant shelf of records with the titles reproduced on 2 metre high album cover spines, creating an explosion of colour and type design.
