A little know fact about me is that I used to be heavy-heavy in the hip hop game back in the 80’s. You could even say that I was one of the baddest in the game at that time. But alas that was ages ago. And although I’m no longer a record spinner I made some life long friends from my days as a battle DJ. And one of those friend is Dj. Rated R. Just tonight I had the pleasure of photographing him behind the scenes and live on the radio, the photos are to be used for his upcoming website. Watching him spin was both exciting and nostalgic as I recall being the one behind the ones and twos. Gosh those were the days! But hey I love my new love… the camera!
Tech tidbits: There was limited room so I couldn't use any lights and being the genius I am I left my speed lights at home so I just used my D300 on manual with the on camera flash and made it do what it do baby!

C’est le week-end et ayant raté l’été, j’ai envie de soleil dans la grisaille de novembre. L’avantage c’est que j’ai à ma disposition quelques photos de voyage pour me dépayser... allez on commence avec la possibilité d’une île Garden Island se trouve au nord du Lac Michigan, et elle contient elle-même des lacs. Une île photogénique dont les plages blanches semblent la découper de l’eau ✂️
It's the weekend and because we missed the Summer on Earth I went looking for some sunshine to break through the bleak November day. Garden Island is in the north of Lake Michigan and it is probably quite cold there now too, but the Sun was definitely shining when I took the picture in July. Note the lakes in the island in the lake 😃

I've been pretty lucky with the sunrises lately. Mates rates is a shot i owed a friend from work. He helped me with some concreting and when asked what i owe him he replied with a shot of Mona vale,which i gladly obliged. Any way he did 4 hours work.This shot has been five days of waking up at 4.40am till 6.00am and the final PP of an hour. The way i figure it he owes me big time.

Enchanted Rock
Enchanted Rock (16710 Ranch Rd 965, Fredericksburg TX) is a pink granite mountain located in the Llano Uplift approximately 17 miles (27 km) north of Fredericksburg, Texas and 24 miles (39 km) south of Llano, Texas, United States. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, which includes Enchanted Rock and surrounding land, spans the border between Gillespie County and Llano County, south of the Llano River. Enchanted Rock covers approximately 640 acres (260 ha) and rises approximately 425 feet (130 m) above the surrounding terrain to elevation of 1,825 feet (556 m) above sea level. It is the largest pink granite monadnock in the United States. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, a part of the Texas state park system, includes 1,644 acres (665 ha).[4] Designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1936.[5]
Enchanted Rock was rated in 2017 as the best campsite in Texas in a 50-state survey conducted by Msn.com.[6]
The prominent granite dome is visible for many miles in the surrounding basin of the Llano Uplift. The weathered dome, standing above the surrounding plain is known to geologists as a monadnock. The rock is actually the visible above-ground part of a segmented ridge, the surface expression of a large igneous batholith, called the Town Mountain Granite[7] of middle Precambrian (1,082 ± 6 million years ago)[8] material that intruded into earlier metamorphic schist, called the Packsaddle Schist.[7] The intrusive granite of the rock mass, or pluton, was exposed by extensive erosion of the surrounding sedimentary rock, primarily the Cretaceous Edwards limestone, which is exposed a few miles to the south of Enchanted Rock.[7]
