I'm a klutz.. I was riding my bike & hit a very low curb at the wrong angle. I went down in a spectacular fashion, bad enough that two passing motorists stopped to ask if I was ok! (Thanks folks, I very much appreciate it. I was ok this time, but it certainly could have been worse!).

The first photo was after I'd cleaned it up a bit.. it wasn't too bad, a few deeper scrapes - but mostly all very shallow and fairly clean, as I had fallen onto a recently finished concrete sidewalk.

The second photo is after about a day.. at that point I had scrubbed it out with soap & water & applied Lanacane spray (OUCH!!).. later I went and got some Bactine which skips the alcohol & hurts much, much less!

The third photo is after about 3 days.. I'd been applying a very loose dressing & Neosporin ointment at night when I went to bed to keep it moist overnight so when I bent my knee in the morning it didn't crack the scab.. and the dressing prevented it from oozing all over my bedding.

Poor thing had the worst diaper rash ever. I felt so bad for her :( We let her hang out sans diaper for a bit to try and air it out! It was pretty funny to see her naked bootie while she played...haha!

Just returned from the pediatrician's office. The nurse practitioner

said that it's simply a viral skin rash and nothing to worry about or

treat. Mystery solved. Here comes the snot(or not, hopefully). Thanks

for everyone's help!

Stupid skin. I broke out in this rash last week, and it just isn't going away. Just on my left arm, no less.

Daniel Rash, Cadastral Survey Technician for the BLM-Idaho Boise District Office served four and a half years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer.

“I served in the invasion of Iraq, March 19th 2003. Set explosives and detonated, the bridge going into Bagdad. Cleared mine field west of Karbala, Iraq, by hand. I served as a M.O.U.T. instructor in the Marine Corps (Military Operations in Urban Terrain). Prior to my Iraq service, I was working with Camp Pendleton Range Maintenance. We maintained 122,798 acres and all the live-fire/demolition ranges.

My previous military service has benefited BLM in a number of ways. It has taught respect, logistics, leadership, and the importance of a plan. If you do not plan, then you are planning to fail. This applies in every area of life and work. For example, not having the proper gear for a task reduces efficiency and increases unsafe conditions. It is better to take extra time to make sure you have the proper gear than to break things that were not meant to perform the task, or even possible injury of self or others. Booby-traps are meant to maim and injure, not kill. If a person is wounded, operational productivity ceases. In combat these traps are set by people to injure others, but here at work we set them ourselves by not following safety commonsense.”

I freaking love the video game series Road Rash! (even though I've only played the 64 one) Also got the last two pieces I need for the Lego SNES. I decided not to make the cables out of lego because I didn't want to spend a lot of money on flex tubing. 278

Never ever touching a mango again. Apparently, the oils on them are similar to poison ivy and the like. So disgusting. I was about to look up whether or not to pop the blister when I reached under the laptop to push the cat away and bam. No more blister.

Triggered by eating soy or eggs and wearing wet mitts in the winter.

Seeing some face paintings here reminded me of this shot, no this has nothing to do with Holi.

The little boy had some persistent rash in his face so that grandmother came here in the Bazaar to put the mixed dust of the red clay on his face to clear the skin, a simple cure of simple people.

The boy was not really happy about this public treatment, he didn't dare to use one muscle of his face, ecstatically following the cosmetic instructions of grandmother ....

This is what they do when you have a severe case of bleeding diaper rash - strap a Dixie cup to your butt and run oxygen into it. No, the tube is not up his butt... the tube goes just inside the cup... the cup is there to hold it in place an inch or so from the affected area. :-)

David did not appreciate the butt cup at all. Saturday was a rough day.

NOTE: I forgot Friday's picture at home... Friday's news was "buh-bye to the NG tube!". It's hard to see in this pic, but the NG tube is gone. He's on 100% oral feedings now.

"This is the skin of a patient after 3 days of measles infection; treated at the New York - Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to widespread immunization, measles was common in childhood, with more than 90% of infants and children infected by age 12. Recently, fewer than 1,000 measles cases have been reported annually since 1993."

You have to take care of his sleeping habits. No doubt, you will feel frustrated when your little munchkin who had just started taking long sleep throughout the night suddenly wakes you up frequently. Change his diapers from time to time.
