I was so glad that I was able to see this movie in theaters the day after it came out. It instantly became my favorite movie, and I decided that I wanted to make a Ranger. However, after seeing all the amazing Rangers that others have built, I kind of lost interest for awhile.
It wasn't until the digital release that I decided to try. It's taken me since March to complete this, and I nearly gave up multiple times, but I really wanted a Ranger model in my collection, so I kept with it. Here are the end results. It does have some interior detailing, which was actually easier to do than the exterior. Sadly, I don't have to many Computer panel pieces, so it doesn't have a lot of screen like it does in the movie. Also, one last bit. I tried to scale this based on how big the Endurance is (There is an infographic that shows how big the Endurance -With Rangers- is compared to the U.S. Space Shuttle.) I used that to try and get a rough size for my Ranger model, and while it looks a little large when compared to minifigures, I am quite happy with the results.

The Ford Ranger is available in Europe since 2011. The model, built in Thailand, was facelifted several times. Since 2019 the Ranger is also built and marketed in North America.

Two of the figures I made a few weeks ago when I couldn't upload any photos because of my crashed PC.
Credit for the basic helmet idea goes to McLovin.
Feel free to add yourself to the figure you like most! ;)
I hope you like them!

During Covid years, perhaps I quarantined too long, or maybe not long enough.
Either way I have to keep busy with my photography or I'll get the eebiie jeebies!
So I challenged Ranger to a chess match. Having previously taught him some games of chance he kept his poker face on.
I had to make my moves cautiously as he would give a low growl and bare his teeth a bit if he didn't like them.
I would remind him that he is supposedly my best friend and, that was no way to treat me.
Game ended in a draw since it was dinner time, and I don't like it when he gets hangry!

A Virunga National Park ranger tracks down a family of gorillas in the volcanic forests of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
This is a dangerous place to be a park ranger. The number of Virunga Park rangers murdered by militia in this part of Congo has recently surpassed 100. Hence the AK47.

What do we have here? It looks like someone took a Chinook RV off of a Toyota or Datsun chassis and put it on this 1984 Ford Ranger, and then covered its windows. Now it's for sale without an advertised price. Don't expect the Kelly Blue Book to tell you anything about a possible valuation for this strange beast.

The iconic Ranger spacecraft from my favourite film of last year, Interstellar, lovingly recreated in Lego.
Initially I was going to build the top using two 6x3 windows and then create some custom stickers for them. But I'm glad I didn't - using 100% Lego is always more satisfying!
If you like it and want to see it made into an official lego set, please add your support on Lego Ideas:
