Picked up a new project for the year. Used a small flashlight in an attempt to light paint the truck.
It was actually my first time trying it.
I have a lot to learn.
Vehicles of the Greater Manchester Police motorway fleet from the mid 1970s.
The iconic police Range Rover is flanked by a Ford Granada estate and a Ford Transit van.
The impressive police sign and blue light atop the vehicles may have been very eye-catching, but were sadly not very aerodynamic and known to reduce the vehicles top speed by several miles per hour.
The Range Rover and the Ford Capri are perhaps the best-remembered Greater Manchester Police vehicles of the era.

Leuchars TACR2, 09AY91, in company with Crash 2, a Scammell Nubian 6x6, the RAF's primary foam tender of the time.
The Range Rover Sport was introduced in 2005 as a slightly smaller, supposedly sportier alternative to the full-size Range Rover, and aimed a bit more at driving on normal roads. It can go off-road, but most of them are driven through cities, i.e. are stereotypical "Chelsea Tractors".
I noticed that diplomats in Albania tend to drive much flashier cars than in Athens, I saw quite a few of these newer Range Rovers on CD plates. Unfortunately the 04 is an unknown code

This lovely metallic black Matchbox Moving Parts Range Rover is no stranger to my collection but for us Brits its a great novelty to see them in a UK retailer and so without hesitation another one came home with me. Not a premium as such but a little less cheapo looking than your average basic mainline. Mint and boxed.
Another new luxury car I've seen a few times, but always foreign registered, the other being from Sweden. This new Range Rover was really nicely specced, the colour is very British
