The thought of getting lost in life gets back more frequently these days.

I keep doing random stuffs when I am supposed to do other things e.g. making lame posters instead of writing essays or designing a time-consuming powerpoint background instead of actually preparing the presentation.

Is it me who's actually good at nothing or is it just my journey of passion seeking too long?

One thing for sure: I really have to stop procrastinating.

Today was Chicago's first sixty degree day in 2011. When I was at the beach during lunch, I had to touch the water to welcome in Spring.

I have to admit, it was strange watching the water rolling onto the shore, because it reminded me of the tsunami in Japan. Of course the waves coming in on Lake Michigan aren't from Japan. But I was imagining that they were.

The second floor of Walgreens in the Wrigley Building provides some amazing views of the building's beautiful architecture details. I make the case why this Walgreens is definitely a tourist detination: www.spudart.org/blogs/randomthoughts_comments/5921_0_3_0_...

I like this one lots too...

the vast sea never stops amazing me

♥ the slow creeping broken waves, the giant fabric of reflecting lights

♥ the ever-changing color of the water, the quiet yet vehement motion

& people vs waves vs time

When I finally did that then positive things started coming my way more and more. #TrustTheProcess

Happy (Heavenly) Birthday Dad. photo taken in 2006

In Memory of My Dad

If I could write a story, it would surely be one of the greatest stories I have every told. My father was a very kind and loving father. He had a heart of gold and his family meant everything to him (especially the grandkids). I could go on and on yet still have difficulty finding the right words to express how much I love and miss him every single day. I am thankful I found a love for the camera and he never said no to me taking his pictures. I am still hurting and sad but I know he is no longer suffering and he is with my mom. They are together again which is what he always wanted. He wanted to be with his wife. Pop-Pop you are loved and missed by our family. We were abundantly blessed to have had you for a such a long time. {Random Thought 1.17.2025}

It’s the evening of December 28. Dinner has been cooked and consumed, with dishes washed (mostly) and leftovers put away. I’m now sitting at my dining room table filling a notebook with random thoughts about life and love, while the Christmas tree lights glow and the music of Miles Davis swirls around the house, filling any sad or empty spaces in my head.

Harry is not too appreciative of clothing, as he is a very dignified cat. This

was one thing he consented to wear. He approved of the color combination. Here

i tend to be a runner. i like efficiency. do it. get it done. and get it done as quickly as possible. run to the places you need to go. but i think maybe i've had it all wrong.... maybe you should walk to some of the places. because you're gonna get there all the same, and when you walk you can take in so much more of the scenery. there is a time for running and a time for walking. I'm gonna work on my walking for a while.....
