The Canadian National M337 train parked on a siding outside of Dyersville, Iowa along the Heritage Trail, which was the former Chicago and Great Western mainline from Chicago to Oelwein Iowa. The Heritage Trail is the only preserved section (26+ miles) of the mainline from Dubuque to Oelwein as a trail. Some of the right of way and former CGW yard in Oelwein are still used by TRANSCO.
Then newly introduced, Croydon Tramlink set 2538 passes the remains of the former Woodside station. This had been built by the South Eastern Railway in 1871 and was served by Network Southern East trains until May 1997. The Bombardier CR4000 unit is approaching the tram stop that replaced the station.

11/26/19 High Tide Ridgway Rail survey, 14 Rails. The count in 2018 was 33, 98 in 2017. There were 4 NOHAs coursing, 4 Red -tailed Hawks, 1 Merlin, i AM Kestrel, an Osprey, someone mentioned a Kite. 3 canoes went out to survey on the water , 2 went in the water drenching 5 people.
well, not rails, I think its the wooden edges of a culvert that goes into the sea, but it looks like some kind of old slipway thing.

For those of you who don't know this area, there is a plan to develop a marina and luxury canal side housing development here. The West Australian state government has sold heritage bush land that was given to the people under strict preservation conditions in order to fund this marina and massive redevelopment
There needs to be some tidying up of the facilities in this general area as it is a little run down and under used, and I have no problem with that at all, but what the state government is proposing is unbelievable and selling native bush land to do it, especially in that specific place is criminal.

Praia das Maçäs
Magnifique ligne de trams, ouverte le 31 mars 1904 à voie métrique, sa longueur et de 11,7 kilomètres à son ouverture, actuellement elle est plus courte, car la traversée de Sintra jusqu'à la gare n'existe plus.
Petite précision sur cette ligne, (peut être pas exact) elle a été fermée en septembre 1974, puis réouverte partiellement de Praia Das Maças à Banzäo de mai 1980 à 1994, puis de nouveau fermée de 1994 à 1997, puis réouverte partiellement de Praia Das Maças à Ribeira de 1997 à 2001, puis de nouveau fermée entre 2001 et 2003, est enfin réouverte en 2004 pour son centenaire de Praia Das Maças à Sintra (entrée de la ville) il ne manque que la portion de ligne menant à la gare de Sintra.
Seul points négatifs, trouver le départ du tram depuis la gare du train, car vous ne trouverez aucune indication, et pour les amateurs de trams, pas de cartes postales, pas de revues sur l'histoire de la ligne et des trams, pas de maquettes de trams, comme pour les trams de Lisbonne,etc. "Dommage".
