Comprei esse danadinho aqui por pura cobiça! Fiquei olhando o vidrinho da Carol, e vcs sabem né? Qdo tem um vidrinho a mais dando sopa, a mulherada não resiste. Trouxe pra mim! E debutei rapidinho!!!

Essa marquinha de indie, a Hare Polish, é hiper simpática, e tem esmaltes bem diferentes e lindos! As combinações de glitters e cor de base mtas vezes surpreendem. Eu trouxe mais alguns pra casa e mostro logo logo por aqui!

Cet ancien navire océanographique sert de brise-houle dans la rade depuis 2012. Il a été remorqué vers Bordeaux en 2024 pour y être déconstruit. Il devrait être remplacé par 1 ex-aviso en 2025. Cette pratique - qui peut sembler étrange voire saugrenue et non-écologique - de placer là des épaves serait due au manque de financement pour construire un brise-lame en dur..

Standing outside Flashback RetroPub when they were hosting 80s night. So many folks showed up to celebrate that there was more than an hours wait outside.

This man embodies the entire essence of the Color Me Rad phenomenon. The 5K race is designed to encourage hilarity, outrageousness, and a complete lack of worry, and he embraced it wholeheartedly -- what a character.

Armed with an open mind, clothes he didn't care to keep clean, and a willingness to put himself out there, he joined the thousands of Seattle area "racers" that were blasted with color until it was caked on every single inch of their bodies. (I have a dust-coated camera to prove it!)

Without a hint of inhibition, he came prepared to do absolutely anything. See that little yellow world he's looking out at? He's got it under wraps ;)

I work at a museum, this is one of our many objects. It is a RCA Radio Telegraph from a ship that sailed Lake Michigan.

Jeder spricht vom Rad der Zeit,

ich hab' es nie gesehen.

Es "radelt" wohl zum Zeitvertreib,

bleibt es auch jemals stehen?

Schon mancher wurde überrollt

und nahm dabei kein Schaden.

Wer hat das denn nur so gewollt?

Die Zeit verlangt stets Taten.

"Was wäre wenn es rückwärts fährt,

macht man die selben Fehler?"

Die Frage wird wohl nie geklärt,

zu tief sind manche Täler.

Das Rad der Zeit dreht seine Kreise,

doch du bestimmst das große Ziel.

My homage to The Simpson’s “Radiation Radioactive Man” episode, inspired by this shot from Matthew Coughlin.

Strobist info: “Subjects” are lit with an SB-800 to camera left at 24mm shot through two sheets of tracing paper at 1/32 power. Back light is an SB-600 to rear camera right with two (2) stacked Full Green gels in a cardboard snoot at 1/16 power. Fog provided by a Ventasonic cool mist humidifier just behind and to camera right of the “subjects.”

Verwendete Fahrräder und Ausrüstung

Strecken, die vollständig bei Tageslicht und ohne Schlafpausen absolviert werden können (im Herbst und Winter bis 200 km, im Sommer bis 300 km), werden zumeist mit einem Rennrad zurückgelegt. Auf längeren Distanzen oder bei Nachtfahrten kommt meistens ein Fahrrad zum Einsatz, das Randonneur oder Randonneuse genannt wird. Es ähnelt dem Rennrad, verfügt aber über einen kleinen Gepäckträger, Schutzbleche und Licht.

yeah, you'd better keep still so it doesnt hit the wrong spot*... thus, the anatomical mask.

*6000 rads onto the central nervous system (whole brain) would kill INSTANTLY.

the patient will not receive that dose in one go, but still... he'd better keep still nevertheless. he'd not want 200 rads in his brain, either. ;)

this is post-surgical radiation treatment for mouth cancer.
