Experiment in Green with Tomi
We swapped copper rings and worked on green finger patinas for ring #223.
I found that using a salt water solution and laying in the sun working up a sweat helped the green!

Instant smile on my face when I opened the second rad pack from Sara and saw this gorgeous octagon smoky quartz. I knew this was the perfect incentive to try a setting that I wanted to do for a long time!
Blogged about the RAD pack over here.

So we have this Gravenstein apple tree. And it's pretty big, and it has a lot of apples on it. A lot of apples. And they are really delicious. But there are a lot of them. I have one of those tools that peels and slices the apples into... rings! I can't believe it took me this long to think of it! So about every other day I make a huge vat of apple sauce. I have made pies, crisps, and the next thing I'm going to do is cut them up and freeze them. I eat apples and apple sauce several times a day. Sometimes with ice cream! It's been great, but it's been a lot of apples!
Another really bad midnight picture, I just can't find the time to take photos during the day..
The one I made yesterday is the one with the little red pearl lots of folding and hammering and it's my new pinky ring..
The other I made from scraps I had lying around, I'm practicing how to set marquise stones with prongs, but too scared to do the V at the tips I need something bigger than 3x6mm to try that...
gnite :)
I was cutting out a bunch of strips of copper to make a series of hoop earrings and these long strips were the scrap, so I hammered them til they curved.
