The event opened with Ratan Thiyam's new Manipuri play 'King of the Dark Chamber'. "The Manipuri play was a symbolic one. This year, the festival will offer plays in some 26 languages including Tulu and Mizu with participation by some 2,500 artistes from India and and abroad.
