Oggi alla fine del giorno
Il tramonto posò le sue perle
sui fini e neri capelli della sera
e io le ho nascoste
come una collana senza filo
dentro il cuore.
(Rabindranath Tagore)
The setting sun, and music at the close,
As the last taste of sweets, is sweetest last,
Writ in remembrance more than things long past.

WAY late with my Pretty Pink Tuesday entry for Pink Umbrella. I'll catch up on streams later tonight.
I travelled miles, for many years,
Spent money in lands afar,
I’ve gone to see the mountains, the oceans I’ve been to view.
But I haven’t seen with these eyes
What two steps from my home lies
On a sheaf of paddy grain, a glistening drop of dew.

APROACHING A NEW WEEKEND! HUGS!
Endless Time
Time is endless in thy hands, my lord.
There is none to count thy minutes.
Days and nights pass and ages bloom and fade like flowers.
Thou knowest how to wait.
Thy centuries follow each other perfecting a small wild flower.
We have no time to lose,
and having no time we must scramble for a chance.
We are too poor to be late.
And thus it is that time goes by
while I give it to every querulous man who claims it,
and thine altar is empty of all offerings to the last.
At the end of the day I hasten, but I find that yet there is time.
Rabindranath Tagore

Enseñarás
Enseñarás a volar…
pero no volarán tu vuelo.
Enseñarás a soñar…
pero no soñarán tus sueños.
Enseñarás a vivir…
pero no vivirán tu vida.
Enseñarás a cantar…
pero no cantarán tu canción.
Enseñarás a pensar…
pero no pensarán como tú.
Pero sabrás
que cada vez que ellos vuelen, sueñen,
vivan, canten y piensen…
¡Estará en ellos la semilla
del camino enseñado y aprendido!

El Comienzo
“¿De dónde he venido?
¿De dónde me tomaste?”
Esto preguntó el niño a la madre.
Ella respondió, un poco llorando, un poco riendo,
y apretando a su hijo contra el pecho:
“Estabas escondido en mi corazón como un deseo, mi cielo.
Estabas en mis juegos infantiles de muñecas;
Contemplo tu rostro y el misterio me invade;
tu que a todos perteneces ahora eres mío.
Y por miedo a perderte te abrazo contra mi pecho.
¿Qué magia ha atrapado el tesoro del mundo en estas manos mías?

When night comes I bury my face in my arms and dream that my
paper boats float on and on under the midnight stars.
The fairies of sleep are sailing in them, and the lading ins
their baskets full of dreams.

Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet. Let it not be a death but completeness.
Let love melt into memory and pain into songs.
Let the flight through the sky end
in the folding of the wings over the nest. Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night.
Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence.
I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light you on your way.

Light, my light, the world-filling light,
the eye-kissing light,
heart-sweetening light!
Ah, the light dances, my darling, at the center of my life;
the light strikes, my darling, the chords of my love;
the sky opens, the wind runs wild, laughter passes over the earth.
The butterflies spread their sails on the sea of light.
Lilies and jasmines surge up on the crest of the waves of light.
The light is shattered into gold on every cloud, my darling,
and it scatters gems in profusion.
Mirth spreads from leaf to leaf, my darling,
and gladness without measure.
The heaven's river has drowned its banks
and the flood of joy is abroad.

I saw this yesterday in the neighbours' yard and trialed my "new" Helios out on it...when I went past again this morning it was shriveled and brown, and I realised I finally had my shot for this weeks theme...:)
My apologies for being so far behind in keeping up with all your wonderful images...I've been away and just busy...shall do my best to catch up over the next few days.
Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.
~ Rabindranath Tagore
I took this in September while on a short vacation on Vancouver Island. We were staying in a cabin in Port Renfrew and it was pouring rain, but I wanted to go to Botany Bay. So even my camera was wearing a rain coat as we hiked in to the bay. Not much colour here with all the rain, but at least we made it there to see the natural beauty of the place. You will see there was another person there (the one with the umbrella).
It's still raining here too....

This world's waiting for
So let out your heart please, please
From behind that locked door
It's time we start smiling
What else should we do? ..."

Come spring,
reckless and daring lover of the earth,
give voice to the heart of the forest!
Come in gusts restless
where the sudden blooming flowers,
do sprout new leaves!
Bursts, as a revolt of light ...
Break through the noisy city,
Free words and energies stifled,
give strength to our listless battles
and conquest the death!
(Rabindranath Tagore)
Vieni, primavera,
imprudente e audace amante della terra,
dai voce al cuore della foresta!
Vieni in raffiche irrequiete
dove i fiori sbocciano improvvisi,
fai spuntare nuove foglie!
Scoppia, come una rivolta di luce…
Irrompi nella città rumorosa,
libera parole ed energie soffocate,
dai forza alla nostra svogliata battaglia
e conquista la morte!
(Rabindranath Tagore)

Backlit and blown by the wind, this sapling was going with the wind , when the wind stopped, it stood erect, and the leaves returned to their resting place until the gusts forced them to go the way of the wind again. A simple joy to watch! 49/52“Nameless, wondrous, fleeting, moments are the truest
