Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.

There’s something magical about the setting sun. It is the perfect conclusion for a beautiful day. Yet, most people don’t have the time to enjoy one of the most beautiful scenes of nature.
Watching the sun slowly disappear below the horizon is a mystical experience. The entire scenery around you is transformed by the warm colors of the sun that paints the horizon orange. It is as if you have entered an enchanted world full of wonder and adventures.

" I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,
Its ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.
You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers, shared in the same
Shy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.
Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man’s days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –
And the songs of every poet past and forever."
Unending Love

Shot for the 52 Weeks for Dogs Project: It's early in the week but I am so incredibly busy that I don't want to take the chance of waiting for another shot and I really like this one anyway :) I had shared a silhouette shot of Autumn recently, but not for the project and I just could not resist this opportunity when I saw the newly created hill (housing construction). Truth is I over exposed it but that's the beauty of shooting in RAW as I was able to drop the exposure down to get the shot that I had envisioned. The original unedited shot follows below for comparison.

The Gift
Rabindranath Tagore
I want to give you something, my child, for we are
drifting in the
stream of the world.
Our lives will be carried apart, and our love
forgotten.
But I am not so foolish as to hope that I could
buy your heart
with my gifts.
Young is your life, your path long, and you
drink the love we
bring you at one draught and turn and run
away from us.
You have your play and your playmates. What
harm is there if
you have no time or thought for us!
We, indeed, have leisure enough in old age to
count the days
that are past, to cherish in our hearts what our
hands have lost
for ever.
The river runs swift with a song, breaking
through all
barriers. But the mountain stays
and remembers, and follows her
with his love.

The smile that flickers on baby's lips when he sleeps- does anybody know where it was borne? Yes, there is a rumor that a young pale beam of a crescent moon touched the edge of a vanishing autumn cloud, and there the smile was first born . . . .

On the seashore of endless worlds children meet.
The infinite sky is motionless overhead and the restless water is boisterous. On the seashore of endless worlds the children meet with shouts and dances.
They build their houses with sand, and they play with empty shells. With withered leaves they weave their boats and smilingly float them on the vast deep. Children have their play on the seashore of worlds.
They know not how to swim, they know not how to cast nets. Pearl-fishers dive for pearls, merchants sail in their ships, while children gather pebbles and scatter them again. They seek not for hidden treasures, they know not how to cast nets.
The sea surges up with laughter, and pale gleams the smile of the sea-beach. Death-dealing waves sing meaningless ballads to the children, even like a mother while rocking her baby's cradle. The sea plays with children, and pale gleams the smile of the sea-beach.
On the seashore of endless worlds children meet. Tempest roams in the pathless sky, ships are wrecked in the trackless water, death is abroad and children play. On the seashore of endless worlds is the great meeting of children.
