Rabbit at the Car Park of RSPB Baron's Haugh Nature Reserve, Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.

There are a few rabbits that we see occasionally in the neighborhood. This one was in my front yard. I've also seen a fox once or twice, but have not been able to get a picture of him.

Now I do not know if this is the Eastern or New England Cottontail. I ave been told there are both down here, in Southeastern Connecticut. I also know that the Eastern like more open space and that the New England Cottontail likes thick, over grown areas. Well it was thick where this little guy was, and so was the rest of the area. He came out to the side of the road for a little grass. The Two are so close to each other that I have heard they do DNA testing. if any one can tell if this is Eastern or a New England Cottontail please let me know.

It's great to have a rabbit around this year!! :)

(Yes, my yard is very weedy.)

Young rabbits are easy to capture, since they tend to "freeze-up" when threatened. If you move slowly toward them, they won't run until you're very close.

Minnie Rabbit stares out from her run. After biting me quite severely last week, all has been forgiven. I know for certain she thought she was biting her sister and biting to save herself...silly Daddy for trying to separate two warring bunnies unprotected!

Bugsy Rabbit proudly displays his ear tattoo. He wanted a stud and a nose ring, but sometimes parents just have to put their foot down!

"You wanna drag?"

This little fella was running away as fast as he could. He's not actually touching the ground in this picture at all! Not the greatest shot in the world, but i still like it. :)
