Island populations of Rabbits frequently show some of the variations inherent in the gene pool, with black being a farly common example that appears to have a reasonable survival quotient. This individual shows some white fur tips that suggest it may be an older animal.
Not sure why - but this rabbit was sitting still in the middle of this box where something killed the grass.
Wanstead Park did have a population of Rabbits; however signs of these were scarce in 2008, and by 2010 there was no longer any indication of their presence.
