Those rabbits with the red eyes have always looked creepy. This one was at the 2006 Williamson County Fair

AKA "The Bean"

I literally took about 4 photos and it stood completely still. The minute my body language expressed that I got the right show by leaving, he/she left as well!

Don't you just love it with animals know they are being photographed and actually pose for it? :P

Just some rabbit shots from the slideshow I put together yesterday. I have uploaded them to put into a group:)

I'm not sure about the second one down on the right...

Ohne Worte, das Bild spricht für sich! ^^

Hare in the garden! ... time to take out the rabbit trap before he eats all the plant. But for now it seems to like peach.

Saw this little guy out in the wild with the rest of the rabbits today. Looks like he escaped and is now living with the wild cotton tail rabbits.

One of the many rabbits that live on the Punta de Sa Guarda peninsula at Cala 'N Bosch. They're wary of humans but if you stand still then so do they !

Rabbit at Chambers Creek Properties

Rabbit designed by Gen Hagiwara.

Originally introduced into Britain from Europe in the twelfth century, the rabbit is now often regarded as a pest. Numbers were drastically reduced in the early 1950's during an outbreak of myxomatosis but steadily risen again and there are now an estimated 15 million rabbits in Great Britain.Rabbits are very sociable and live together in warrens made up of extensive burrows in the ground. There is a hierarchy within the warren, where dominant rabbits do not have territories and mix only with other subordinates.

Rabbits are mainly active at night, keeping close to their warren and grazing on vegetation. In winter they may gnaw on bark, which often damages young trees. During the day, while underground, rabbits may eat their soft droppings, which still contain vitamins and proteins. The breeding season extends from January to August; litters are produced at monthly intervals in short burrows away from the buck(male). Three to seven young are born; they are independent within a month and sexually mature at four months.

Brother rabbit .. illness and old age have reduced our beautiful pet rabbit to this sad creature. All 3 of us are really sad, he was such a great companion when he was young and healthy. The vet concluded his kidneys are faulty. It is a matter of time but I think he will not make it till morning.

A rendered z stack of the autofluorescence from a rabbit fleas head, taken on a Zeiss LSM700 confocal microscope. I like the paddle like 'hands' on its legs, and the ribbed structure of the body.

Sample was courtesy of a colleague's pet rabbit.

A rescue bunny boy who was desperately in need of lots of grooming. He is part angora and due to all of the matting, I had to cut most of his coat off.

He has a little jumper that he wears for now to keep him warm.
