Luna and her best friend Roxy (well, best friend if we dont include Buzz, Woody and Jesse...) having fun at the beach last year.

Outside as I "speak" it is snowing and saturday should be worse....

Have a nice evening (or morning).

Model: Roxy Rage MM#1051266

Lighting: Alien Bees Ring Flash fired with sync cord.

Roxy is an Irish Wheaten Terrier. I'm doggysitting my daughters dog, and she was very good for sitting for the camera....

Bisous.

I am very busy at the moment . . . how many boxes does it take to pack up a kitchen? I'd love to know the answer - but I guess as far as you are concerned it's rhetorical! The builder has brought forward his start date to Monday, and so I am trying to get everything ready. Spare moments are being spent in the warmth in the garden, pulling the odd weed and lazing!

I am behind with your photos, but am full of good intentions!

we are going away on Monday for a week's holiday. I am sorry, but I am running out of flickr steam - but hope to be back on form when I come back . . .

I had a Roxy day today and yesterday evening young friends came round to collect some of Roxy's baby clothes (so I wasn't on flickr) - they are expecting their first on Easter Day.

And here I am now . . . starting to catch up . . .

This is Roxy with her baby - I think it once belonged to Elsie. Roxy is watching her favourite programme which was my only opportunity to catch her sitting still ...Peppa Pig

Both Roxy and Elsie were home today. Elsie is so good with Roxy and played with her in the morning. At lunch Roxy unexpectedly fell off her chair ( a surprise for us all, especially her) and hit the floor with a thud. She seems to have recovered well. When Roxy went for a nap after lunch, Elsie and I read her book, did some of the homework she has to do during the holiday, played Uno and Connect 4.

Abby said that Ben had dressed Roxy and had put her dress on back to front (as seen in pic) . . . which is now a new baby fashion, because I turned the dress round after her lunch, which meant the front of her dress was then clean for the afternoon. Good, eh?

I have a cold and have had a Bourbon to make me temporarily better. The decorating is finished and looks great - despite the fretting builder who said the sun hadn't shone today. And what has that to do with it? Well, apparently it will show up any little imperfection which can then be put right. I jest not. What a great man! Had a lovely day with Roxy, despite her teething. I have taught her alliterations - biting bunny's bottom badly . . . a side effect of teething . . .

Roxy stayed the night with us and slept through . . . and I slept hardly a wink! She was a great guest.

I don't know what has happened to Corel, butuall my settings have changed . . . maybe a move to make me update, so I am having trouble processing photos . . .

tomorrow we are going to east London, as Abby flies out to Bangkok - a difficult job where she as a designer in London has had to juggle makers of her costumes across the other side of the world. So we are over in east London lending a helping hand for an afternoon to Rachel and Ben. Hope Elsie will be well this week and up for a photo . . . last week she was unwell.

we have had a couple of days without the internet - in a way it has been restful, but I would have liked to have uploaded my pics of Roxy yesterday, after my day with her. I worked in a nursery school for 10 years so I can't say that all children aged 2.5 - 3 years have a volume control = loud, because I have witnessed some withdrawn and some naturally quiet children - but most have this loud setting. With Roxy yesterday I began to whisper which made her stop. Why aren't you talking properly, Grangran? she asked. Because you are talking loudly enough for the two of us, I said! And oddly, it worked. I love her enthusiasm.

Catching up will proceed at low volume . . .

come on flickr . . . how can you think my granddaughter is a dog?!

The always foxy, Roxy.

Abby said Roxy had been a bit glum, but I think she is just seeing off the tail end of chicken pox - these things take a while to get over. Now this picture is processed using my reloaded Corel 19 which has all the same features as the old one, but operates in an entirely different way.. Angels with dirty faces caomes to mind, but of course this has nothing whatsoever to do with James Cagney.

we last saw the Bears on 19th July - Elsie was unwell and I took a few photos of Roxy. They are now on holiday - at the mid way point changing their accommodation in Cornwall today from St Agnes to Padstow . . . wishing them good weather and surf for Elsie . . .

My new Elfdoll Yuan is called Roxy.

she is a bit of a flirt isn't she?

A bit dressed to the Charleston period ;)

Roxy Tahiti Surf Trip

Leeton, NSW

This heritage listed art deco theatre was opened on 7 April 1930 purely for use as a cinema. In 1933 a stage was added and it was officially opened by Australia's most famous and internationally celebrated singer of that time, Gladys Moncrief, known affectionately as "Our Glad".

Since 1933 the theatre has operated continuously providing both film and live entertainment to residents of Leeton and the surrounding area. The Roxy film screen is one of the largest roll-up mechanized screens in Australia measuring approximately 16 metres wide by 8 metres high.

Princes Street Gardens from today's walk, some folks sitting on the benches (no shortage of seats with so few people around), lady in the cool Roxy Music T-shirt observing safe social distancing from both sides of seating, walking down the middle.

Roxy is a beauty and around 7 months of age. She spent her whole life tied with a short chain and in very muddy conditions. As of 11/14/2013 she is now living the good life that she so deserves.I think she cleans up very nice!

this photo was taken a fortnight ago (when the weather was nice!) . . . there will be fewer photos of Elsie in the future as her life changes and so I shall try to keep Roxy going so she will have an album of her childhood similar to that of Elsie's. Yesterday she wanted me to take videos which I did - unsuccessfully, so I shall steer her back to stills! She had a cold . . . which after a long period without colds seemed . . .strange, but it is in fact, back to normal!

the week has disappeared. First east London on Monday and the usualy kerfuffle of mummy going away (Abby is in Bangkok this week) yesterday G & D came over for a meal, and today the exhaustion of another bad night on top of little sleep last Saturday and tomorrow we are going to Gloucester to see Christopher and Caroline and John. Hopefully will be back on Friday and Sunday to start catching up, having an evening meal with Claire and Earl on Saturday and back to east London on Monday . . . . and then next week seems relatively calm . . . . oh dear, I see a tax return coming on!

I am not a very good pupil in Roxy's school. I find myself being told off before I've even . . . breathed! This is indignation at her pupil taking pictures!

Elsie wasn't in photo mood and nowadays I play it by ear, knowing that if a couple of weeks pass and I say pretty please I will probably get a favourable response.

Roxy sees something interesting.

Formerly a private theatre, it is now run by a community board. I particularly like the metal Roxy sign on top and the now inoperative neon sigh above the marquee.

Abby, Roxy and Stan came to pick up Elsie yesterday after a two night visit. Peter brought down some of the toys for Roxy to engage with . . . and here she is cuddling Ben's Garfield to death.
