The Rio de la Crea, (in English Chalk Canal), in Cannaregio one of the six sestieri of Venice in Veneto, Italy.
It gained its name as the site previously held deposits of raw clay used for the production of bricks. The full route of the canal was blocked in 1861 during the construction of Venezia Santa Lucia railway station
It is approximately 580 meters long. The modern canal starts from Canale Colambola, the canal splits with two separate parts both turning 90 degrees towards the Cannaregio Canal.

I heard one pundit say we need a Chapter 66 Bankruptcy for the states as Illinois and California clearly need this option after decades of mismanagement. chapter 66 since both states anchor the ends of the road.
Albuquerque, New Mexico has a wall with the old signs that have no longer been used. Route 66 was said to be developed as early as the 1900's which ran from North to South through Albuquerque. Part of the curve of route 66 was known to run from Santa Rosa, Santa Fe to Albuquerque, Los Lunas as well as many Native reservations. About half was said to be an unpaved road but eventually became paved. Route 66 today became I - 40 but for many remains a memory especially of Bobby Troup's song, "Get Your Kicks On Route 66."

This is one of the gorgeous views you have when doing the 'Route du Vignoble' . It's an extremely long walk up to 90 kilometers. We just did a one day walk though taking us about 5 hours and 15 km alongide a magnificent valley.
Whenever I cross over route 66 at the biker church campgrounds and look east this is what I see. I finally got out of the car today and took a picture of it.

This is the iconic Roy's neon sign in Amboy, CA, along historic Route 66. Illuminated during the exposure by a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device. After two long years, my night photography friends and I got together for an eight-night trip to Nevada and California. This was a 1856-mile night photography safari with Tim Little, Mike Cooper, and George Loo, and George the monkey. This is in an upcoming book about abandoned Route 66 at night that will be due out in the spring. Thank you.
