Former Wrexham & Shropshire liveried 67012 seen passing Inverpeffer whilst working 0Z99 Mossend to Inverness via Aberdeen RHTT route refresher
Carrying on the theme of ex-works class 931 departmental vehicles, this is Route Learning vehicle 931001 (formerly class 416 unit 6232) at Clapham Junction on 15th September 1993. Bearing a fresh coat of Network South East livery it was being used on the route to and from Kensington Olympia. For the record, that's 56059, possibly heading light to Stewart's Lane depot. The unit had four windows at one end and three at the other. This unit was withdrawn from service in 2002 and scrapped at Immingham in February 2004.

The last time the 114 ran to Rayners Lane was 1966 (50 years ago!), unless of course there's been a diversion like this one since then.
Today it returned, allowing for this delightfully unusual snap!
Back in 1966, the route ran from Rayners Lane to Edgware via the current H9 to South Harrow, then the 114/140 to Harrow and finally the whole 340 to Edgware - showing that the route now is very different to how it was 50 years ago!

Route 101 South. First day in California, we spent the day at 6 flags, an amusement park known for its coasters, amongst the biggest in the world! While driving on Mulholland Drive from east to West (that is from the sea to the Hollywood sign), we ended up facing downtown LA. The city seems...

Yes, Westbourne Park garage did operate a route all the way to Dulwich. The full service was Stanmore to South Croxted Road. This was shortly before it was cut back to operate Stanmore-Victoria. I wouldn't have thought that 'South Croxted Rd, Alleyn Park' meant much to the average passenger at Stanmore!
I have been watching this fine old house in Maine collapse upon itself for many years. I have often entertained a fastasy of fixing the the place up into a livable space, but retaining it's outward higgedly-piggedly appearance. It would be like living inside a carnival funhouse,

This vehicle is branded up for route 427 as part of the new Hayes route branding scheme, so shouldn't really be on this route.
The 9:30am "Royal Gorge Route" excursion returns to Cañon City with an F7A/B duo shoving eastward. The train has just resumed its journey after the customary 10 minute stop at the "hanging bridge" deep within the gorge. This stop is a long-standing tradition for passenger trains, started decades earlier by the Rio Grande. The Royal Gorge suspension bridge sits 955ft. above the river, which was quite shallow at the time of this photo due to an ongoing drought.
