In the the Dominican House of Studies in Washington DC is this set of Rosary beads and a mother-of-pearl crucifix which had been used by one of the pioneering Dominicans of the Province of St Joseph.
Today, 7 October, is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Dominican Order has been preaching the use of the Rosary since its earliest days.

This relatively old string of rosary beads were shot at the Santuario de La Divina Providencia that is off the road from the Quarai mission to Albuquerque. This is a privately owned, small church that we visited on our way home from Quarai and the Fourth of July Campground on a Mid-Week Marauders' shoot.
The light was streaming into the building through a colored window.
Our Rosary Shrine in London held a Rosary Vigil tonight, 28 October 2017. It consisted of a Holy Hour punctuated with music, Scripture and reflections. It was followed by a Eucharistic Procession during which the Rosary was prayed, and the Akathist hymn was sung. It ended with Benediction and Dominican Compline.
At the Rosary Shrine in London, we began Advent with a concert of the first five Rosary Sonatas by Biber, the Joyful Mysteries which recall the Incarnation, birth, and infancy of Christ. A Rosary of Light connected the five Joyful Mystery chapels.
Kerepesi Cemetery (Hungarian: Kerepesi úti temető or Kerepesi temető, official name: Fiumei úti nemzeti sírkert, i.e. "Fiume Road National Graveyard") is the most famous cemetery in Budapest. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Hungary which has been almost completely preserved as an entity.
This church situated in Hassan District, Karnataka was built by French Missionaries in 1860. When the Hemavathy dam was built in 1960 this church was submerged and abandoned. This is a view during the dry season. During the monsoon, the ruins are partially submerged. This is sometimes referred to as the Floating Church or submerged Church.

The Rosary is a devotion popularized by the Dominicans who wear it on their habit as a sign of their love for Our Lady and this form of prayerful meditation on the Gospel.
October is the month of the Most Holy Rosary, and the Sunday before the feast of the Most Holy Rosary (7 October) is kept as Rosary Sunday in some Dominican churches.

This is the 2nd in the series of the Glorious mysteries, the Ascension. The original painting was done by an American in the later 1700's while studying in Rome... by John Singleton Copley. He was self taught and mostly a portrait painter. Also in using his fine art piece which was portrait planned I had to make a horizontal style to match the others within the Rosary decades series. Overlays from course material 2LO, Anna Aspnes and iKuPiLLi with masking and blend modes. Enjoy!
Olvera Street is one of the oldest parts of downtown Los Angeles, located across from Union Station. Spanish settler families set up a pueblo near the Los Angeles River in 1781. The oldest remaining building is the Avila Adobe (1811) located in the center of Olvera Street's Mexican marketplace. The "Old Plaza Church" (1822) is still in use today.

On one long Bangkok walk, we stumbled across this brightly illuminated Catholic church, Holy Rosary.
