Engebrechtsz was the leading painter of sixteenth-century Leiden and the teacher of Lucas van Leyden. In this panel, piety and dramatic energy are combined, as late Gothic expressivity is pushed here to a mannerist extreme. The two donors - probably husband and wife - are physically close to but psychologically detached from the Crucifixion.

This rosary was created in college. It is made up of very small images of me as a child or people, pets, buildings that meant a lot to me during my childhood.

The idea behind this project was that the rosary is supposed to be a tool to meditate on your beliefs. I used the symbol to make a tool to meditate on my childhood instead because I felt that my former religion overlooked the idea of exploring or honoring who you were and focused more on concentrating on what your beliefs should be.

Rosary Church is a 19th century French church located in Shettihalli village near Hassan (Karnataka, India). In the 60s this was abandoned during the construction of Hemavati dam. The old dilapidated structure could be immersed in the reservoir or exposed based on the time of your visit.
