This is not very famous, half submerged Rosary Church in Shettyhalli, near Hassan, Karnataka.
This is how it looks when Yagachi river is flowing full. Until few months back, before fishing was banned in India, people were taken for rounds inside the church by coracals which mainly were used for fishing.
During summer when water levels are low people can easily walk up to the river. This is one of the off beat places I have visited recently.
St. Dominic is traditionally said to have received the Rosary through the Blessed Virgin Mary during an apparition. This window is in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Minto, ND.

The amount of work that goes into the making of one rosary is incredible. The seeds have to be scratched while still on the trees, later collected, then cleaned and pierced, and finally all stringed manually.

The quality of a Qazwan rosary is judged by the size of its beads, its color patterns, and length. For Qazwan rosaries, the smaller the size of its beads the better and more valuable, because it requires a lot more precise craftsmanship. A Qazwan rosay cannot be short. Regular ones are 1 meter long. So depending on size of beads, a one meter rosary could be 170 beads or 230 or anywhere in between.
I dropped by a Catholic store in Leavenworth, KS (Soul Supply & Hardware) with some friends, and while picking up Advent candles and looking around for the first time, I saw this itty bitty little string rosary. The child has a rosary (it glows in the dark -- eerie!), but I thought it would be nice for him to have one that was small and safe for him explore. (Also it would be a nice intro for a Momma who probably hasn't said the rosary since RCIA. Whoops.)
And this picture... only, like, 60% posed; I had the rosary in hand when I laid him down, and dropped it, and went, "Ooh, if you could tell that heap of string was a rosary, that would make a sweet picture.

The rosaries' sellers can be seen widely in the local & traditional markets in Khartoum or any other place in Sudan. And they are more seen in the religious event and occasions.
Normally the seller is the maker himself, but this is not always the case specially in the last few years with the economical conditions of many Sudanese people that made many of the young youth to go and be sellers...

The cathedral, built in a French Gothic style,is cruciform in the shape of the Latin cross.
The interior features columns that support the nave which are made from red Scagliola.
