This uses a bronze and wood crucifix. I used corals for 'Aves' yellow stones for 'Paters' and wood and glass beads for the spacers. I aimed to create a rosary in the style of the old tamborin necklaces. I chose red corals not only because of their dominance in old tamborin necklace designs but also because of its deep red color which symbolizes Christ's passion. I use this during processions and my yearly Visita Iglesia, along with my everyday use black rosary.
St. Thérèse of Lisieux was a Discalced Carmelite nun. Holy Hill has a secular order of Discalced Carmelites today.

Playing around with light. Too dark without flash, too washed out with, so I stuck my finger over the flash and this is what came out. Bought from the Vatican a few years ago, I'm not religious but hey when you need a souvenir...

A friend's boss made a trip to Rome and got this for her as a souvenir. She's a Protestant, so she just kept it unused. Years later when I met her, she passed it on to me as I would make better use of it.
Rosary beads left outside of St Winifreds Well, Holywell, Wales.
Legend says that Winifred was decapitated by her enraged suitor, Caradog, when he learnt that she had decided to become a nun.
Her head rolled away and where it stopped a spring sprang up, out of the ground. Her uncle Saint Beuno prayed for her and subsequently she was healed and lived again to become a nun.
The well in holywell, Flintshire is believed to have healing powers and has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries and continues to be.

The Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, more commonly known as Mount Mary, is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Mumbai, India. The church is one of the most visited churches in the city located in the suburb of Bandra. Every September, the feast of St. Mary is celebrated on the Sunday following 8 September, the birthday of the Virgin Mary. This is a week long celebration known as the Bandra Fair and is visited by thousands of people.

We were encouraged to take as many rosaries as we liked. The Pope would bless them at his address the next day. We asked if we could take back rosaries for all the kids and teachers in our kids' classes, and they said sure and gave us a large envelope of about 200 of them. We said thanks, but 50 would suffice. They gave us about 100 and so we snuck some back into the basket.

May 2008, Guatemala (Antigua): This is disks of sugar wrapped in corn husks in the shape of a rosary. The candy itself is simple and basically pure sugar, but the delivery is beautiful.
I got this Lourdes rosary from my parents wen they went there in May 2003. "Favorite" smallest thing is probably not the best description, but it's definitely one of my Dearest smallest things.
The "plaque" on the left is really a container that contains some Lourdes water, but I found this side photographically more interesting, as it shows Maria and Bernadette...
