An elk calf, at Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. First time I've ever seen one, so exciting and so cute!
Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. During my trip to RMNP in 2012 Bear Lake was unassailable for the most part. Road construction and a fire in the gulch restricted access for the better part of 4 days. Just before I left I was able to get to the lake to do some photos. The weather was changing fast and just the night before there was a good snow storm at altitude. On this evening the wind was blow'n to beat the band and their were intermittent, lingering flurries. I spent a couple hours in the area and created this image of the rocks in the lake at sunset with a snow blown sky in the background. I hope to visit again with more time ... I was very inspired by the lake and would love to share more of its natural beauty.
