Making my way to Beck Hole across the moors as a storm approaches Goathland in the dale. The heather starting to bloom for the summer. Better take cover!
We revisited the Wreck of the Gayundha as the tide was rising.
Brisbane city skyline can be seen on the horizon in the top left corner and the mountains of the great dividing range to the right of that.

We had a hike from Hawsker to Robin Hoods Bay on the Cleveland Way and back along the old cinder track which was where the old steam trains used to run. A sunshine and shower day. A break halfway at the Victoria Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay for a pint and a bit of lunch.
Lovely views all the way.
Back in Whitby for the summer and autumn. Feel at home again.

The Admiral Van Tromp was a trawler out of Scarborough which ran aground at Saltwick Bay in September 1976. A classic look of the wreck.
Made it to the waterfall!
Not a lot of water in the becks at the moment while in this drought. But a bit of an oasis gathering in the pool below the small waterfall just along from the old mill.

The Flying Scotsman is visiting the Heritage North Yorkshire Moors Railway this week. We caught up with it as it left Goathland for Pickering.
Had to put my wellies on and get out into the river for this one!

So I'd already decided last night to go out this morning. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain, it was miserable, but I was undeterred and still headed out to see if I could find any photo's to take. Ended up at Sandsend and found a few long exposures to take. Ended up with this set. 4 of 4

Cedar Creek Falls near Airlie Beach.
Unfortunately I was here at the wrong time of day as I had to catch a plane home, so the sun was in the wrong position and too high. Would be a great place to shoot later in the afternoon when the lower warmer sun would be lighting up the cliffs.
