In season, you can ride this for much of the length of the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. Off season, no.
inherited from the colonial era Sri Lanka has some very spectacular train rides to offer. We did the section from Nuwara Eliya to Ella which leads through tea plantations, dense forest, runs on narrow ridges with amazing views. A break from the sometimes endless car rides and open doors to take photos like this one form a special experience. We thought the train would be more "antique", not the rather modern train we had - there is older stuff running in central europe...
Customer: "Has this dog a good pedigree?"
Shop Owner: "Has he? Say, if that dog could talk, he wouldn't speak to either of us."
BUTUAN - You can hear the throttle of the bikes from a block away and you can tell they're quite old. But as the spectators take their places, the riders appear, and they take their bikes on a wild ride like it's just another day.

Silverstone racing circuit around 1989 and I found myself helping my friends when they were asked to bring this Routemaster to (I think) the National Association of Driving Instructors day-out.
There were lots of vehicles to have a go at driving regardless of whether you had the appropriate licence to drive them.
RM116 had been sold off by London Transport during the previous year and was in primer awaiting its red top coat.
It gave a very good account of itself during the event and on both legs of the journey from Surrey to Northants, as after purchase the new owner had spent some time and effort making subtle improvements to its 'Active Ride' Hydraulic Suspension that'd been fitted some years earlier by LT's Experimental Department at Chiswick Works.
It hadn't been used much in service with the system fitted when allocated to Stamford Brook garage as it'd disgraced itself a couple of times by leaking large pools of Tellus oil on the road surfaces of West London!
The bus is seen here with another vehicle I had a drive of - E163JRP - a V8 powered Mercedes Benz 'Powerliner' NG 1644 4x2 tractor unit Demonstrator complete with EPS gearbox- although this one was off the road for good by the end of 1993 for some reason, whereas the RM is still in a roadworthy condition in 2025.

Ride by Sunset
So I rode a horse tonight for the first time...Isolation is what you make it. Stay safe everyone. 🐴
It's actually quite difficult to frame an ultrawide shot whilst riding a horse but pleased with this outcome. He looks marvelous.

________
If I didn't know you by now
would I ever hang the blinds
upon my window?
fold away and pack up
all my clean clothes
without complaining? and
If I didn't know you by now
wouldn't know about
the curling leaves of autumn
folding in and browning
at the bottom before falling so
If I go tomorrow I go green
flush with all the places I have seen
hope to find you waiting there
wherever this may lead
I'd have packed it up and turned around
If I didn't know you by now
If I didn't know you by now and
If I didn't know you by now
wouldn't know about electromagnetism
how a shark can feel it
when you're swimming near him
but still let you go and
If I didn't know you by now
wouldn't know about
your brother's tears in your eyes
he got drunk again with
swallowing the starlight
and never made it home so
If I go tomorrow I go green
flush with all the places I have seen
hope to find you waiting there
wherever this may lead
I'd have packed it up and turned around
If I didn't know you by now
If I didn't know you by now so
put that record on "Atlantic City"
and we'll drive there in the dark
while there's still time
we haven't closed
all the doors to the night
still feels good to lean
my head into your side cause
If I didn't know the way
you'd come to me
through the first snow you find me there
fallen in the fog light
when I told you I was hopeless
you said "Alright"
you carried me back through the big night
big night

Well, I was going to spread these train shots out over the next couple of months. But, my boss is anxious to see them for some kind of a project they are working on. So, I have been working on all of these and I'm dumping them here all at once.
These are all from the photographers train ride I took last week in Durango.
