My Father in Law, waiting for us to meet him and go for a train ride at the National Capital Trolley Museum in Colesville, MD.. I think some people though he was a museum prop, he looks like he is the train conductor. I love the way he is dressed .. : )
An eastbound Conrail train crosses from Allentown to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on one of Allentown Yard’s receiving tracks. A Penn Central SD40 and an Erie Lackawanna U36C lead the consist out of the yard. As college students without a car on this day, a friend and I walked from South Bethlehem about three miles to this location. Shortly after taking this photo, the engineer invited us up to the cab. After learning where we lived, he offered us a ride back across the river. He could not stop, but after giving us a crash course on the now-forbidden practice of dropping off of a moving train, he slowed near the former Lehigh Valley station, and we were a short walk from the dorm.
I really should have brought my earplugs to this show!

ET22-947 with several wagons after bogie (probably the brakes, too) overhaul but yet before repainting during a come back test ride to Bydgoszcz Overhauling Workshop (today known as rolling stock manufacturer PESA Pojazdy Szynowe). The train passes Terespol Pomorski station and consists of one Russian sleeper, short two section Bhp double decker set and single Bdhpumn double decker wagon. June 5, 2002.

took a nice long drive down to my cousin's grad party, thought a little video would help pass the time.
In mid-afternoon cloudy sky, an infant girl enjoys her ride on a brightly-colored trolley as her young, loving mother pushes it around a quiet village street in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.
These aphids are hitching a ride on a caterpillar that looks like it has an egg on it's head. Not sure of the type of fly or wasp that lays it's eggs on caterpillar heads but pretty interesting parasitic behaviour if it is an egg. Sorry for the blurry picture.
The Ride of Silence, held on the third Wednesday in May, is an annual international bicycle ride to commemorate cyclists killed or injured while riding on public roads. Participants are encouraged to visit a ghost bike (as in the picture) in their area and take their photo with it as a gesture of honoring the deceased person. In past years in Munich hundreds of cyclists took part, a moving experience. This year we rode alone.
The rules are simple:
1. Ride in silence
2. Remember and honor those who've been hit & killed while riding or seriously injured
3. Ride slowly and a relatively short distance - this is not a race
4. Wear a helmet & obey road laws for bicyclists

I did a three-day-jungle-trip in the north of Thailand somewhere around Chiang Mai. And one part of the tour was this amazing elephant ride through the remote and untouched nature. What made it special was that these elephants are free-living animals. Everyone has his own elephant guide and a deep relationship to him. And when he is whistles with his whistle, the elephant is coming of one's own free will. So, the animals living not in captivity.
