The RF-4D was a 1966 development from a line of powered gliders designed by Rene Fournier. Produced in Germany by Sportavia-Putze, this glider made history by crossing the Atlantic twice, piloted by the internationally-known pilot Mira Slovak.
Powered by a 40hp VW/Rectimo 4AR, the RF-4D weighs 860 pounds fully loaded and has a normal range of 415 miles. Speed can range from 44 to 130 mph. Its glide ratio is 1 to 20.
