In the summer of 1998 Bryn Melyn of Llangollen has former London Transport Private Hire RF4 on loan to operate a registered bus service between the terminus of the Llangollen Railway at Carrog and Corwen. Here it is seen on a fine August day about to pass over the road bridge at Carrog.

LUC204 apparently spent some time down the road from Llangollen as a spares doner with Hampsons of Oswestry for there long serving former Private Hire RF's that were regular performers on the town services for many years.

RF 54 passed by to see what was going on.

Hellenic Air Force RF-4E 7529 at RIAT Fairford in July 1998.

Still around, and often seen with 725 blinds. I'm open to offers on the location.

Then on to Dolgellau, which we brought to a standstill!

RF 621 seen almost a year later than the previous view, outside Bookham station on route 418. Now a Leatherhead based bus it is displaying the correct size blind box. Withdrawn from Leatherhead garage in July 1975 it was sold in March 1976 to C.F. Booth of Rotherham and scrapped. Thursday 2nd May 1974. O-4.

It could be a film set, but this was rural Kent in 1979. The garage that time forgot!

To mark my 40 years of service, the folk at work arranged a cake version of RF 672, with working headlights!
