As the clouds receded and the sun poked through the autumn colors were revealed at Glacier National Park

New irises growing up through the grass begin to blossom in Erba Park. A bit of drizzling rain adds some moisture to their petals. Some of Bamberg University's Erba Campus buildings are in the background. [FUJX7576_lr_2000]

Cracks in tin foil. There were 2 light sources , a table lamp behind the foil and a LED torch at 3 o'clock. I used another piece of foil to reflect the table lamp light at 9 o'clock.

Riffelsee revealing his fascinating reflection on a calm & clear autumn morning. Perfect conditions for "His Majesty's" glorious appearance in the first light of the day.

Revealing, yet more firs!! A dive into a very coniferous part of Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire

Revealing what was missing in the previous day's shot.

The ever-extending Willowburn development on the south side of Alnwick. In the distance is the tell-tale grey of a sea-fret which enshrouded the coast for nearly a week, though in Alnwick it was clear.

Soulis: Revealing the Elusive Shapes.

This is a closeup view toward east. This photo may be felt like revealing the magic of the theme "Nature in Tokyo."

Direct distance to the centre of Tokyo from Kagenobu-yama is more or less 50 km.

The tower in the upper-left is called Tokyo Skytree (東京スカイツリー), a broadcasting tower of 634m. It is the second tallest structure in the world after Bhurj Khalifa in Dubai.

The twin tower building to the right of Skytree is Tokyo Tochou or the metropolitan government office (東京都庁), and the area around the building is called Shinjuku (新宿).

Shinjuku is the starting point of the Oume Kaidou (青梅街道) road in Okutama (奥多摩).

Horizontal green belt as appears below Shinjuku marks the location of the Tamagawa (多摩川) river.

Cluster of buildings just behind the green hill is the urban centre of Hachiouji city municipality (八王子市).

After a cold and cloudy day the weather cleared up in the late afternoon, finally revealing the splendid view of Monte Paterno and Tre Cime di Lavaredo.

The peeling husk of a tomatillo (Physalis philadelphica, Solanaceae) just reveals the fruit in a soft pleasant bokeh.

The tomatillo or Physalis philadelphica of the Solanaceae or nightshade family (includes chili peppers, potatoes and tomatoes) is one of many and one of the largest husk tomatoes. The plant is known also as Mexican husk tomato in English and jiltomate and miltomate in Spanish. The green to sometimes purplish berries, encased in papery husks (the calyx), are eaten in sauces and stews especially the popular green salsas of Mexican tradition often combined with green jalapeño chili peppers (Capsicum annuum). Originally from southern Mexico and Guatemala, the tomatillo is a perennial in favorable conditions, but is cultivated as an annual where it cannot survive cold winters in temperate climates.

Note that Physalis ixocarpa also is grown and marketed as a tomatillo.

This viewpoint is 360 meters above sea level and has in my opinion one of the most fascinating views of the city. I had never visited this place, especially at dawn. We arrived in the gloom and the cold and the fear turned out, there was no soul in the place but us. The main view opens up the Sugar Loaf the districts of Botafogo, Flamengo, Urca and Humaíta. Worth checking out, shall we? :)

The Bow Coal train has pulled past the operator’s shanty at Jefferson Junction, Pennsylvania, revealing the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie power that will take it to New Hampshire. As soon as the train clears a switch that is out of sight in the distance, this power will pull the train northward on the Penn Division, where I’m standing.

Twilight colours over Mount Kabru and Rathong peak as captured from Dzongri top on trek to HMI basecamp in Sikkim Himalayas, India

My husband and I traveled through snow, sunshine, ice, Prairies, mountains, deserts, one Canadian province and 6 States - a total of 3,000 kms, one way to spend some time in this incredible Paradise.

We arrived as the sun hit its peak and we embraced the welcoming heat.

The show began with a visit from a coyote and a small herd of deer that chased him away. A lone buck meandered across the road. Hawks sat perched in the trees that resembled those in the Serengeti. As the Golden Hour approached, the tall, thick grasses illuminated a fiery orange - foreshadowing something that was about to transpire...

We were thrilled to spend a good four hours in this wonderful place before the sun disappeared and we made a promise that we would return, early the next morning, as the sun showed itself again, revealing the wealth of nature within this magnificent sanctuary.

Deux-Rivières Lookout, Matapédia, Quebec Canada

The Deux-Rivières lookout is located at the top of a cliff overlooking the municipality of Matapédia. This tunnel is formed by a juxtaposition of squares made of wooden planks, between which openings allow light to filter through while revealing glimpses of landscape. At the intriguing entrance of a twisted tunnel, you cannot see the end. At the very end of it, it opens offering a spectacular view of the confluence of the Matapédia and Ristigouche rivers.

Revealing Caraiman Peak in Bucegi Mts., part of the Southern Carpathian Mts., Romania

The Commemorative Cross to the Romanian Heroes of the First World War, also called the Heroes' Cross on Mount Cairaman is a monument built between 1926 and 1928 on Caraiman Peak at an altitude of 2,291 m. It has a height of 39.3 metres (129 ft) and the nearest town is Buşteni.

Don't you think a little mystery is beguiling?

Model: Olivia Byers

After getting a bit lost heading up to Crimpiau, which is top left in this photo(figured this out when i got home) I gave up trying to get to the summit. Plan B, send the drone up. By Sunrise the mist was burning off the higher levels revealing Clogwyn Mawr. Half an hour earlier we were heading up this steep scramble that led to Clogwyn Mawr with no clear route in the fog. I'm glad we gave up on that and just stuck around where we were. A lovely spot of wilderness that we had to ourselves!

As the mist lifts at Llyn Dinas

During Soviet times in Georgia, all "decadent" artworks had to be destroyed but in Georgia, they painted over/hid many artworks to save them from destruction. Now, the past is slowly being revealed again.

in photography "changing the way you look at things", could also be referred to as "working your subject". Viewing Forchu lighthouse from the ocean side, can render a very different perspective. The main subject of this image transfers away from the lighthouse, as it now becomes a supporting character.

Rather, the surrounding rock formations, their shapes, and colors, take centre stage. It also aids the integrity of the shot, by preventing lines from overlapping. As well, waiting for the clouds to take their place on the stage, further bolsters the supporting components. This in turn, further enhances the final result.
