The tank is pressurized to over 100 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) and a second hose connected to the air supply helps push the sand from the bottom of the pressurized tank into the blasting hose and out the nozzle.
Long pants and a long sleeve shirt are recommended unless you like being peppered by the ricocheted sand!

What do you do if you've got a hulk that's beyond restoration hope? Most people wouldn't bother, and the object would be lost. A few people however, have the wherewithall and/or the imagination to produce something like this magnificent auto, which is described as "inspired by" a Riley MPH sportscar, but actually based on a derelict Riley saloon, on which the bodywork was too far gone to restore or rebuild.
I understand the wire wheels are modern and the bodywork is made from scratch, using parts bins and modern parts to add the finishing touches. Beyond the chassis I'm not too sure how much is original, but it certainly has all the hallmarks of the golden age of motoring, a labour of love little less worthy (imo) than any standard restoration.
The sharp-eyed among you will have spotted three cars in the ultra-shiny bodywork. I think I can see a Lotus 11 Sportscar, an Alfa Romeo Alfasud and an MGB GT.

The 2" wheel spacers moved the wheel out closer in line with the rear. Took so much weight off the front, I need to drop the torsion bars.
