Page 34-35 of "Nurse Dandlem's Little Repository of Great Instruction, containing the surprising Adventures of Little Wake Wilful, And his deliverance from the Giant Grumbolumbo. Written By the Famous Prussian, For the sole Amusement of the Chickabiddy Generation." Embellished with copper plates. Published and sold wholesale by James Lumsden & Son, price twopence.

Page 34 (left) is divided between two oval half-page illustrations. Both have a caption written above the picture, the above "The Giantess Unavilda", the below "Fairy Starbright". Both relate to the story of Wake Wilful, narrated by Nurse Dandlem in the accompanying text.

Wake Wilful is a "naughty" boy, who through his fault of disobedience is persuaded to bord a ship in search of adventure. Stranded on a desert island, he is taken captive by a despotic giant and his accomplice, the giantess Unavilda. In this desperate state, by implication well-deserved, he is rescued by Fairy Starbright, who proposes virtue as the key to his release.

This chapbook was, typically for its kind, intended as an educational and moral tool, instilling a desire to be virtuous in its young readership while also being enjoyable. The ample illustrations in this volume made the text more accessible to young readers, who could ponder over images more easily than over words.
