"Spring flowers are winter dreams told, in the morning, at the table of angels".
[KHALIL GIBRAN]
Thank you to Franco Fedeli for this inspirational quote~
Early Summer in the high country looks a lot like Spring. The grasses are a brilliant green, creeks are running high and the bucks still have velvet on their antlers. It’s a wonderful time of year to be out and about.
This is the ever-photogenic Mt. McGown in the Sawtooth range. Photographed at that magical time of day when shadow falls over the meadow and begins to crawl up the side of the mountains on the horizon. Everything begins to slow down. The deer and elk begin to leave cover to graze where the grass is greener.
As I stood in the marsh to take this shot, I couldn’t keep my mind off of transitions and renewal. It was a very serene place and time for me. (despite the damn bugs). It was a fantastic evening.
By the way. If you want to get that pretty pink light on this peak, ya gotta get there at sunrise. I just didn’t have it in me this weekend to drag out of the rack. LOL
Despite the forecast, live like it's spring.

The weather report calls for a bit of snow tonight and tomorrow, but I'm not going to believe it. After all, I found these tiny crocuses today, and it was sunny! These are the first I've found and many more are to come very soon :)
I have to be off Flickr again for several days so will see you when I return.

A big part of the Babberspolder quarter in Vlaardingen is renewed. Older apartment blocks and houses from the 50s are demolished and new ones erected. Although it is now a nice place to live I find the renewal a bit to much. In my opinion it was nicer that they had kept some of the old buildings as a historic layer. Now it looks as a standerd new housing estate. The church in the centre of the picture is one of the few things they have kept.

The penguin spirit animal is a symbol of renewal. The penguin teaches us grace over our actions and emotions. We have the strength and fortitude to live with and overcome struggles.
This is my first time doing textures and this was number four of the group. The others were good. I just liked this one a great deal.
No point going backward and the future is always a bit faded and unclear, but the road is fairly visible. Slowly I tread forward.

A very Happy Easter to all my flickr friends who celebrate it. The redbud trees blooming here are always a sure sign that spring has really arrived for good, as are the spring thunderstorms like the one building in the background here.
The symbolism of the Snowdrop includes caring, hope, and overcoming challenges.... pretty much covers it all.
We cut down a dead tree last summer and didn't pay too much attention to the stump... all of these beautiful fungi appeared after a large rainfall..

This is an older image that I reprocessed this morning because I liked the composition. It was taken before I understood focus or exposure blending so the foreground is badly underexposed and I lost a lot of detail. It's a tree I noticed off the side of China Hat Road near the collection of buttes out there close to home. As dead as it is, it still seemed to be reaching toward the setting sun for some kind of affection. The sky was wonderful that evening no?
The Southern Outer Banks of NC 11 months afte Hurricane Florence. Vegetation has returned and the sand is beginning to collect. It provesagain, coastal managment is best left to nature. Thanks for your visits, comments and faves. Have a terrific weekend.

Fall is always considered to be the best time of the year for leaf colour of deciduous trees, but spring can also be unique. When the buds of these trees begin to burst the colour of the new growth is a vibrant light green that almost glows in the sunlight. In southwestern Ontario most of the natural forestation is referred to as Carolinian, a mixture of ash, birch, chestnut, hickory, oak and walnut trees unique to eastern North America from the Carolinas to southern Ontario.
Kauffman Gardens re-edit of an image that draws inspiration of this small little space in KC. It’s one of my most favorite areas.
