Great character, just sitting outside a coffee house, not sure why he was dressed up, just because he could maybe.

Paint me in your sunshine

Wake my sleepy eyes

Round me in your comfort

Stay with me for all of time

Reach your hand, I'll follow

Darken clouds for your rays of hope

So paint me in your sunshine

Walk with me, stay by my side

Fill my head with stories

For love and war and glory

Reach your hand, I'll follow

Light the path that will lead me home .

One day the world will grow colder

Everything we've come to cherish crumbles

And only then will we turn back and remember your glow

Taking You Back to Noob land

Where did our dreams all go?

If you touch me, you could let me know

Like the storm breaks for a rainbow

We watched while love disclosed white forever

Lets save moment glows

While the storm breaks for a rainbow

If I could only show how my heart breaks

And the memories flow

Like the storm breaks for a rainbow

You gave me more than you know

But I'll remember what we treasured most

When the storm broke for the rainbow

I give my life, my soul

If you love me once before you go

And let the storm break for the rainbow

Where did the rainbow go?

The hunt for toilet paper was real

It is Remembrance Sunday in a few days to commemorate the contribution of both military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts. I thought this image of the rural village of Adlestrop will be appropriate.

In our busy lives we rarely have the opportunity to step back, ponder and reflect about what those in the military have sacrificed for us to be able to live in peace. We should never forget what those who served have experienced in the face of danger beyond our comprehension.

🎅✨In this magical season, where hearts are warmed, I want to share a message of hope. Christmas is so much more than gifts—it’s a spark of joy and a time to remember what truly matters.

To my dear followers, you are so much more than a virtual community—you are my source of inspiration. May this holiday be a moment of renewal for you, where dreams come alive and the magic of Christmas guides you toward new horizons.🎅✨

Merry Christmas to all, with all my heart ❤️.

This coming Friday is Good Friday, a holiday for many. In the midst of your various activities, please take time to consider WHY the day is celebrated.

I haven't been out to the shores of the Pacific Ocean for a long time. I bet Sammy and his friends are still there. It's their paradise. They look so tiny surrounded by the crashing waves of the Pacific and the stately cliffs they call home.

Sorry I haven't been around on Flickr much. I will be trying to catch up.

The last real vacation we took was pre-Covid to the Oregon Coast in 2019. I was looking at the images from there and remembering what a wonderful time it was. Truly one of my favourite places. This is Cannon Beach at Ecola State Park.

And When You Are Young · Phil Woods

It is so easy to just walk past antiques and dismiss their importance in the lives of others. A long departed family member had filled her glass cabinet with dolls. The collection of staring eyes was somewhat disconcerting. Yet once I began a photographic study of this doll, I found myself lost in his far away gaze. It seemed to me that he was wondering where all those children had gone that used to hold him so close.

When I arrived in Kalam, which is 6800 meter above the sea level, it was about to rain,. Having that kind of altitude, raining can create a very chilly weather even in June. But for Pakistani people rainy season is considered as good season.

Kalam is situated in NWFP region, in the Swat Valley. A very beautiful place.

Arlington National Cemetery is a significant U.S. military cemetery located in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C. Here are some key facts about this hallowed ground:

History and Significance:

The cemetery’s history dates back to the American Civil War. It was established during the war as a final resting place for Union soldiers.

The land was originally part of the estate of Confederate Army commander Robert E. Lee. However, after the war, it was repurposed as a burial ground for military personnel.

Today, Arlington National Cemetery serves as the final resting place for more than 400,000 active duty service members, veterans, and their family members

Born 1933, died 1936. Her tombstone says, "Budded on earth, to bloom in Heaven."

Since I'm injured-lateral epicondylitis, I'm back in the archives; another shot in the series of the first visual record of a sea otter (Enhydra lutris) interacting with a dead horn shark(Heterodontus francisci) ; Morro Bay; CA; USA; 20201110;

The sky cleared for a beautiful sunset.

Lake Superior and the apostle islands-

Where first time I see u, where the sun slanting through the splendid flower ... where I remember the day of love.

I saw this tree as I parked the car and decided it was going to worth remembering for when I returned. I'm pleased that the sunset afterglow played it part.

As I wait for the road to the summit of Pikes Peak to reopen, I've been looking back over some of the images I took through 2023. So, here is a series of re-imagined shots from last year.

Watching the Lancaster flypast here at Sheringham's 40's weekend. I thought we should remember those that didn't return.

So with maybe a little artistic license. 🤔
