If you are at the Thanksgiving dinner table today, don't bring up politics or religion. You might end up having to leave the table quickly, with your food in your mouth, LOL.
I hope all of you here in the USA have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Fortunately, I am going to a close neighbor's house for a ham dinner and I am taking a homemade lemon meringue pie. They only live a very short distance from me which is great because my dogs are all getting so elderly I don't like leaving them for any long periods now.
Anyway, have a wonderful day everyone!

A new series. Out of square format, no title except that "engraved" on each photo GPS coordinates "a place of reliving a moment." In fact all the photos in this series are from my 1st photos made in 2009 with a modest Samsung.
Thank you for this one I've exhausted, finished with Scotch for his seal ...
and offered me a "window" to the world!
I’m afraid Cinderella is late to the ball and there’s no sign of those mice and their carriage. Looks like I’ll have to pick up my skirts and walk! This is a seriously beautiful satin ballgown from Junbug that you can still get for a few days more from the Enchantment event. If you’ve got any sense you’ll go and buy it!!
The Magnolia, a Flower of Spring
The time when you could hear the Robins sing
In Winter these Memories lift up our Spirits
Mind you, Flower Power is without any Limits
Would we need a special Reason
To remember the Beauty of each Season ?

I was riding my bike in Orlando Florida when I seen this mural dedicated to remembering September 11 it was very big on the side of a gas station I took a lot of pictures of it but the eagle was the number one thing I wanted to use I tried to do my best to honor the original mural . #50 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby
These pretty and unusual flowers were in my flower delivery a couple of weeks ago and are only just showing signs of wilting. I wanted to get a photo before they finish completely. They are called ornithogalum (thank goodness they are prettier than their name!)
The lace is a scarf I bought in Bruges a few years ago, the charms on the frame are part of the scarf. I always like to bring something home to remember my travels...when I used to travel!
Lensbaby Velvet 56...I know the Velvet isn't really made for flat lay style but I still like the glow it gives.
Halfway through my 100 x challenge.
In the middle distance of this view from the heights of the Launceston City Park we can see a strange object. It is indeed a cannon, a remnant of the Crimean War (1853-1856). It was manufactured in St Petersburg in 1840, and was captured by the British after the siege of Sebastopol (1854-55).
The cannon was awarded to the citizens of Launceston for raising large sums of money to support the war. In fact Lancestonians raised the highest average contribution of any Australian city. The gun arrived in 1860.
It is from cannons like this that the bronze is cast to make Victoria Cross medals for military bravery to this day.
In relation to the Infra Red shot itself, I find that shooting into the sun produces the most interesting (backlit) results.
Remembering those who have died and those injured today in yet another stupid senseless attack.
Political goals will never be achieved by attacking and killing the innocents.

“Summer is a period of luxurious growth. To be in harmony with the atmosphere of summer, awaken early in the morning and reach to the sun for nourishment to flourish as the gardens do. Work, play, travel, be joyful, and grow into selfless service. The bounty of the outside world enters and enlivens us.”
-Paul Pitchford

Mood: I Will Remember You, The Official Sarah McLachlan
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had
I let them slip away from us when things got bad
Clearly I first saw you smilin' in the sun
Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one
I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
I'm so tired but I can't sleep
Standin' on the edge of something much too deep
It's funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, oh we can't be heard...
My mood is reflective and I was thinking of this day last summer.
I remember saying on a photo of this series that it was like a Hamlet cigar moment. So because my camera was on a tripod I was for a change taking 4 shots in overlay mode in camera which then blend into one photo and this is another such shot with a more powerful wave hitting the rocks...Sue x
And hey darling sipping that red wine,
All classy, kicked back on the couch.
You smile and I see ya shootin' tequila,
Us shuttin' them college bars down.
And no matter how much time goes by,
And no matter how much we grow up,
For worse or for better, from now 'til forever,
I'll always remember you young.

When I saw this butcher shop on Elizabeth street in NoLita I was quite saddened.I searched the story on line because I wanted to know what happened to this wonderful butcher and his business.
Moe Albanese, known to many as Moe the Butcher unfortunately died from COVID-19 back in April, just days short of his 96th birthday (see right window).I just broke down and cried when I read that.Moe's parents opened up the butcher shop in 1923.He learned the trade from his mother, his father was an immigrant from Sicily.Albanese took over the business in 1956.The meats he sold were of the highest quality and he generated a lot of customers through the years. As he grew old his granddaughter,Jennifer Prezioso, joined the business adding modern touches to the shop. They eventually had to close it due to the pandemic. His granddaughter posted updates on Moe's condition on her Instagram page when Albanese fell sick up until the moment he died. She also wrote a beautiful eulogy on his life on the page.
