I have been an unwilling participant of a nasty game for quite a while. It doesn't matter what I do or don't do. My every action / inaction is being interpreted with an insane twist. I assumed the winning move was to not play their games, as they keep changing the rules to fit their desired narrative. Alas, that is not the case.
The only thing I can do is ENDURE.

café window light, at dusk. not tightly focused, but a good effort for 1st shot after finishing a roll of e6 and loading this at the table. I've been reluctant to shot black and white, so I bought 25 rolls of tri-x and 10 rolls of ektar (another film I want to like).
For some reason this sunflower just doesn't seem to want to open all the way! Guess it's not ready to face Monday morning.
A RELUCTANT PROMISE of SPRING...

The meagre wind pulls around my ears
My hair dancing like snakes around the head of Medusa... LOL
Beginning of April, most trees still skeletal, here and there a promising blossoming beauty.
April gives and takes, one day, warm sun caressing your Winter skin, the next, scarves and a biting wind.
Have a lovely day, M, (*_*)

'Hell hath no fury....." like my cat when she sees the camera or even hears so much as a click.. She absolutely hates it. Which makes it all the more fun to get "grumpy cat" photos :)
Reluctant child physically pulled along by the paidagogos. The statuette shows the paidagogos holding the boy to his right by the ear, forcibly dragging him behind him. The boy’s resistance is made very evident: he is leaning away from the paidagogos in an attempt to free his ear; he crosses his outermost (and so free) arm across his body in order to try to remove the paidagogos’ hand; and his struggle causes the paidagogos himself to become unbalanced, pulling him sideways under the child’s weight. The younger sister of boy completes the scene.

This is Jess, not the most co-operative of models, but a good opportunity to practice with the 85mm f1.2 I've borrowed for a few days off a good friend Graham while he is away on holiday... I may not want to give it back !? :-)

The local kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) family are out and about. Two of the three chicks are exploring the locality with their parents - this one however is still sitting in the nest tree begging for food.
i am sure there will be more portraits of this stern toddler face, so i thought i should label the city so we can tell the difference.
My friend's new car.
Bought new as something of a weekend car, this Renault 19 stayed in long term ownership. Used and enjoyed on a semi-regular basis, in later life it became surplus to requirements. Kept road legal but rarely used, the Renault went on to be loaned to owner's brother initially on a short term basis. The car was returned six years later, still surplus it sat on the driveway unused for a year or so.
Then spotted by my friend, a serial retro-Renault enthusiast, he left a note on the forlorn car and within a week was invited to pay the owner a visit. Reluctant to part with the 19, a deal was done based on the reassurance the car would be looked after. It remained local to its supplying Renault dealer until this point.
I was rather reluctant to upload this Kingfisher photograph having seen the beautifully isolated frame-fillers that so many of you manage to take. Most of my Kingfisher sightings are of birds that sit deep in waterside bushes, usually at some distance. This female was no exception but she did leave me a clear viewing window with a bonus berry bokeh in the foreground. I know it is rather cluttered and the image is small, but there is something about it that I found appealing. I am just about to leave the country so I probably won't know whether anyone likes the photo until I return in a couple of weeks. I hope you do.

This is the first photo I've ever taken and edited and thought it was worth publishing. It also makes me want to explore studio-lighting, editorial, and fashion photography further.

Day 57 - "The reluctant sitter". I've been a bit under the weather today and was struggling to get excited about doing an elaborate photo - but for some reason I decided it was ok to lug my gear into the wilderness....

"... to drift

beneath
the various turnings

and within,
both with lovely

wafted to shore
by playful zephyrs;

that heaven rejoices
in her birth."

I was recently inspired by the comments I have been receiving, They got me thinking a lot about my photos and my vision. Are WTF moments really what I am always posting it seems? I am going through my now full USB backup hard drive before I fill up another new one. So here is some more WTF I was reluctant to post>
