To recall at Lake Serene, 'serenity' is the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled. Lake Serene has been in this state for eons. The boat is a shared community boat for drifting around the lake to enjoy serenity in a gentle floating manner. Floating improves one's serenity by helping with mental and physical wellness through increasing one's relaxation, energy, and rejuvenation.

I had a long walk yesterday. First I watched the waves, then I listened to the soft sound of the reed moved by the wind. The walk was very rejuvenating and refreshing.

Going to Battle River this year helped me heal a bit and allowed me to feel excitement and enthusiasm for the first time since Phil died nearly 6 months ago.

This was shot at the Grange Estate. It was such a warm and welcoming room and reminded me of when you get home at the end of the day or the end of a trip and let your surroundings rejuvenate your soul.

I spent a wonderful afternoon at a local gardens where spring was bursting forth in all its glory. It's such a beautiful space, and yet free to enter which seems a very rare and special thing these days.
The sight of people's faces upturned to the welcome sun and their smiles as they encountered some new or beautiful specimen, or listened to birdsong, was every bit as precious as the garden itself.
I feel as though spring has truly sprung and I might have fallen in love with my camera all over again too!
One of the brightest, boldest rainbows I've seen welcomed me as I approached a region of Glacier Park long known for it's mystical and spiritual aura. Named Two Medicine by the Blackfeet peoples who have for centuries sent their young warriers here on vision quests and spiritual seeking.
I too feel that pull and need to return here for rejuvenation, rejoicing and relaxation. Never fails to set my soul singing and reboot my spirit.

Refúgio Francês stood 120 meters (394 feet) above sea level. From its window wall behind my back, a breathtaking 360-degree panorama unfolded. Lake Nordenskjöld, Cerro Paine Grande, Cerro Ferrier, Mount Tenerife, and the Chacabuco and Balmaceda ranges – all etched themselves forever in my memory.
Patagonia's weather is a fickle beast, yet within the mountain domes's walls, comfort was guaranteed. A cozy bed, a hot shower, and camaraderie with fellow backpackers filled my evening. Freed from the burden of a heavy pack, I could truly embrace the journey, reveling in the constant beauty around me.
Day 2 of the W trek found me sharing stories with fellow travelers over a warm meal and countless pisco sours. Rejuvenated and recharged, I readied myself for the next leg – a challenging 23 km (14 mi) route with a peak elevation of 1,100 meters (3,609 feet). Steeps and descents awaited, but I was ready.
The refuge offered a variety of accommodations: from dome-shaped shelters to fully equipped campsites or even simple platforms. Food service and equipment rentals were also available.
