A migrating egret stops by the small pond in front of the visitors center. Unlike many egrets, it didn't take flight when humans walked by on the park trail and I got to photograph it fishing as long as the light lasted.
The perfectly clear waters near Queenstown, New Zealand make both the actual mountain and the reflected mountain look real. Enjoy!

Decided to visit a local college grounds... a place I haven't been to for about twenty years. Today we had winter sunlight, and I thought this composition of sunlight, shadow and reflective contemplation was worth sharing
A female Hooded merganser makes a rapid fly-by over the pond delivering quite a reflection as it sped low over the water !! I was quite amazed the picture came out so well at such a relatively low shutter speed

First flown in 1937, the type saw extensive service during World War Two as a trainer and light transport (amongst other duties).
