Black-bellied Whistling Ducks (Dendrocygna autumnalis) in the reeds of Shoveler Pond at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Chambers County, Texas.

Words don’t flow this time around,

Just tears that slide silently down,

Dropping into the swirling sea they go,

Flowing away as the day goes on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owc5bN7obMk

A migrating egret stops by the small pond in front of the visitors center. Unlike many egrets, it didn't take flight when humans walked by on the park trail and I got to photograph it fishing as long as the light lasted.

Reflections of clouds and reeds in the river Thurne.

A female Hooded merganser makes a rapid fly-by over the pond delivering quite a reflection as it sped low over the water !! I was quite amazed the picture came out so well at such a relatively low shutter speed

Carlo Ferrari's Beech 18 is a remarkable example of this twin-engine 'taildragger'. First flown in 1937, the type saw extensive service during World War Two as a trainer and light transport (amongst other duties). After the war, the Beech 18 was a well-known business aircraft, perhaps the King Air of its day. Carlo's G18S, which has made appearances on television and in movies

Boxfish. Ostraciidae.

The source of reflection was available in two hutches and one mirror within the dining room! Never noticed that before!

It is funny that a reflection of a small square of mirror picks up the lovely entire chandelier!
